*hopes for Blaziken*

I don't use grabs, not enough time, you can't grab someone while they're coming at you full speed, in the games I play the movement doesn't stop, & grabs are so easy to get out of that they're basically ineffectual.

EDIT: Actually, the main reason I don't use throws is probably because the hookshot is so slow. Handy for pr0s to get back up on the level though.

As mentioned earlier, you shield grab. Grabs are used as a defensive tactic or to set a combo in place. And yes the hookshot and grapplebeam are not as good as the others, I use sheik so it takes virtually no time at all.

DAMMIT. If Jirachi is playable I will be SO happy. I'll be SLIGHTLY less disappointed if Sonic & Young Link aren't playable!

I thought Groudon was Fire/Ground Superlink?

Did Pichu have any advantages over Pikachu? I imagine it was faster and fell quicker, but that isn't enough to counter damaging itself everytime it used a special attack.

Groudon is just Ground, a bit silly really, he should be fire too since he uses a ton of fire moves, but he isn't. I also don't know how him & Kyogre are supposed to have an aged old war that lasted for decades or whatever, since Groudon is ground & should have died from 1 or 2 hits from Kyogre. Unless Kyogre just used Water Sport. Wahey! Well done Kyogre!

Anyway, Pichu's attack power is a bit stronger than Pikachu (I think) & he's faster, apart from that he does a load of damage to himself when he uses thunder attacks or quick attack, & he's a lightweight character too... really don't see much of a point in him, other than Nintendo originally trying to get him more popular than Pikachu.

You know what would be even cooler? Having a pokemon trainer as a playable character!
Not really, I guess I'm kind of mad that Battle Revolution isn't a 3d PokeRPG.

This update is around a 5/10, it's not like they weren't going to include Pokeballs, and Groudon is a given anyways.

I think eevee should be in one of the pokeballs. After it's out of the ball, it would evolve into one of its evolutions and attack. (with the attack depending on the type)

Yeah, it's still an update. To be honest I'm surprised and glad to see that the site really is getting updated every day. It's only been about two weeks and it might still fizz out, but I didn't expect to go back every single day to see something new.

It's meh, but oh well, seen Meta Knight in the first time for ages eh?

I mean, as well as for Veterans, Smash Bros Dojo is a site for people new to the series.

Yeah, must say, this 'update' is clutching at straws a bit. I suppose it's just in case Brawl is the first Smash Bros. game people have come acroos; notice the whole section on 'What Is Smash. Bros.?'.

I think a character will be on tomorrow. Not expecting a new one, just a profile of a current one like they've done with Pit, Link and Mario. My bet is on Meta-Knight.

Yeah, I think it will either be 2 veterans, or 1 newcomer, & maybe some moves too.

Either that, or it will give us a new item, or a page of special moves for Mario &/or Link, or maybe a new Final Smash. I don't think we'll get another stage or song for another week.

Anyway yeah I hope we get more details on Meta-Knight soon. From the videos we've seen it looks like he has a bunch of rapid aerial attacks where he slashes away like mad. One of my favourite moves with Roy is his aerial double-slash attack, and Meta-Knight's look even better *.*

I'm guessing his jumps will work kinda like Peach's, double jump and then hold jump to open up his wings and glide. I bet his B + Down move will be that shield move from the first trailer, but I have no idea about the rest... Smash Attacks'll probably be similar to Roy/Marth's though.

And is it just me or does it look like Mario was WAY too far away from the edge to make it back in those screens? This is madness!

Ok heres my big update for those that havent looked at the site yet

As mention before, today is not a big shocker. It is merely an addition to the "how to play" section for anyone new to the series. For eye candy we get to see Meta Knight boot Mario off the stage and Mario jumps back up to recover.

Something that hasnt been mentioned above and what I think is the best part of the update, is what Sakurai has written at the bottom.

If recovering is a technique, then there must also be techniques to guard against recovery. Fierce aerial battles often rule the match!

This reinforces the statements earlier released in various news sources that this time round in Brawl there would be a stronger focus on the arial battle. This accompanied by Meta Knights arial abilities displayed so far, seem to suggest a good development in Smash Bros gameplay.

My bets on somehting new by the end of this week in the "Game Modes" section *fingers crossed*

I love aerial battles, they're a lot of fun, attacking each other in the air.

Also, since the website started updating again, have you noticed that there are NO SCREENS whatsoever with Zero Suit Samus or Snake in them?

I'm assuming they'll release Samus as a Veteran & have her Zero Suit form as an extra in her profile, she should be able to transform in battle, so that might be why.

Snake, I would have no idea why he's not showed up, maybe he'll pop up in a new character section, "Guest Characters" like the "Veteran Fighter" section & the "Newcomer" section. Maybe he'll come along with someone else? Who knows.

Some things for certain though, I think the next 2 characters to be revealed will be Yoshi & Samus (properly)

Nah, they won't reveal another Mario or Metroid one next. Someone from a completely diferent series, like Captain Falcon or Donkey Kong.

Yeah, I think Donkey Kong is possible soon, but seeing as we've already got a Yoshi song (& his logo) aswell as the fact Samus hasn't been in any new screens so far, I think they must be planning something for Samus, & Yoshi is pretty much confirmed.

I get the feeling they don't want to surprise us. I hope they surprise us.

Yeah, it'll probably be ages before another new character is revealed, which is what most people want to see.
Still, I'm pretty sure I'll just be using MetaKnight anyway. <3 Unless they announce Blaziken/Lucario.
