It is n't entirely fair to blame Nintendo for all this, in the UK they hve to work within certain rules, they've offered to replace your consoles which they don't legally have to. When you buy goods you buy them from the seller not the manufacturer, it is the sellers duty to make sure there is adequate stock to cover any faulty products, not Nintendos' the same way it the sellers responsibility to fulfil pre-orders and not Nintendo's. Its the people who sold you the consoles who are at fault, not Nintendo and its them that should compensate you not Nintendo.
