um, how can I be winning when I dont even have an entry, Im struggling to get to grips with my uploadage on Liquid Elephant, I think I have it now, I'll see if I can get it before you judge

That really is amazing, but how the...? It looks fantastic, and how did you change the colour of the suit like that?

Ok, I'll try and condense the steps I used:

1)first I needed to cut out the suit, so I used the magic wand selection tool to select the areas around her. I just noticed on the right leg there is a really bad bit I failed to cut out.

2)I then needed to somehow change the suit, so I chopped off her arm, and took the bit shoulder bit off it, I then rotated it. Finally I blurred it to look like movement, you can just see a slight orange on the starfield.

3)I then, wanted to change the colour, 2 colours I know work well together are electric pink and blue, these give you a cool Uv type effect, so on another layer (theres about 5 already) I painted roughly these colours on different sides of her, Ie pink on the right side on her legs/body/head etc. I then changed the "Blending Options" to "Colour", this just coloured everything the right colour (well duh). I also changed her power beam into a plasma beam by adding red streaks on this layer.

D) Why has this changed to a letter??...anyway, I then went back to the layer that the main body and the gun were on, I added the heat waves with liquify, and used the blur tool to get some focal blur, most noticable on the right leg/knee.

E)I then, by hand, added highlights and shadows, using black, and white brush tool, on some of these I changed the layer type to "overlay" but on most they are normal.

F)the Grass was made with one of photoshops preset brushes that looks, funnily enough, like grass. I then added a quick mask tool and a slight gaussian blur to it to once again add focus.

G)the smoke was made by adding clouds and because they give you rather generic-boring patterns, I liquified it to make it look like she was running through them.
I did this behind her, and in front of her.

H) sheesh, I cant believe I did this much... I then added a star field, by adding about 3% of noise (which cannot be seen) then by changing the brightness/contrast twice to get an even distribution. I then added more layers (layers are my friends) and painted by hand, and the smudge tool, the clouds, and the mist on her helmet and around her shoulders.

I)I then added two circles, which I filled with planet-y colours, added noise to and radially blurred them. I then painted the clouds to suit them. I finally painted the vortex thing on the right again with just the brush and the smudge, I also used liquify to make the clouds into a circle.

ouch, I have about 40 layers on the actual thing, and because I haven't named them I haven't got a clue what each of them does.

Ok, i've looked at all the entries and i've decided on the three best pics.
1).Leroy Zero. With that amazing pic of Samus on the grass with the planets behind her, excellent piece of work.
2).ZIAL. I love the lightwork used in this one, looks just like it's being charged, good work.
3).Sharpshot.Again, another good one with the green fog type smoke stuff, it looks good.

Anyway, these are my views. Whos gonna be getting another pic? Make it link!!
