5 live have been saying that the bus is possibly a suicide bomber. I hope not- thats the most terrifying thing for me.

Yeah, it sounds confirmed. At least one bus was a suicide bomber, anothert suicide bomber shot.

Well I'm ok, if anyone's wondering. All this is very worrying though. I'm just staying inside.

I wouldn't say this feels as serious as 9/11, seeing buildings fall down was a very different feeling to this, but this is bad don't get me wrong.

I think that was Fox mistaking casulties for deaths, or an estimation.

FOX just credited the British for being very calm in the situation. FOX also seem to think all the G8 leaders are going to give a statement on what happened today, although I haven't heard anything about that. Apparently Washington have put their self on a higher state of alert as well, although I can't see anything happening there. Did anyone else here about a statement posted on some website taking claim for the bombings but I don't think they've translated it yet?

Suicide bombers are a very scary thing. Remember how wary people became of different races after 9/11? I could see that happening for a while here. An Indian sits next to someone on a bus, the guy changes seats. I don't think we're going to be that scared immediately, although people who take the tube a lot will be and it could be a long term thing with terroism definitly under the public eye big time.

I couldn't imagine having family involved in this. All London schools have been told to carry on as normal.

Glad that some of you are safe. The casulties is climbing higher.. suicide bombers in London.. this is very serious indeed.

A search is being carried out for more devices, but will there be anymore? Those new pictures of the bus close up is weird.

BBC said "incidents at Swindon and Brighton". Those incidents were the stations being closed.

Yeh, we decided not to go into town and shopped a bit nearer (I'm about 30 mins away from the station)

All the busses are delayed etc, and people aren't allowed in the station

I think they sent in a squad to check things out, haven't heard anything else.

Just heard watching new now. Really does suck, good to see the emergency services prepared well.

The media aren't making the situation any better. From what I am seeing they are trying to invoke panic in the UK rather than calming people down. I mean in their survivor interviews they are asking questions to try show fear and pain in the survivors. It's bad enough this incident happened, but the media is making situation worse in my opinion.

So was Rome false? A friend of mines dad had a car in front of him and in front of that was the bus that exploded apparently.

I believe the other capitals are on bomb alert, but as far as ive heard no other bombs have gone ff.

Im still waiting to hear from my friend in central london... not a wait im enjoying.

It all seems to be calming down, but like Bush just said in his statement he's told his country to be alert as it approaches the time for them to start going to work.

I woke up this morning hearing this stuff on the radio ( I'm in Canada) Pretty scary stuff. As soon as I heard it I thought of you guys at Cubed (I knew JB and other lived in London so I was kinda freaked out). I'm in Toronto right now so I'm 2 hours ahead of Theif101, he'll probably be here shortly.
