I doubt there will be. The only reason why the GBA was made with all its flaws was because of the cost at the time. I don't think the DS has many key problems like that so I don't think there will be a DS SP.

the only thing I could think of would be:
smaller size
lighter weight
better battery
longer wireless range

But then again....the DS SP (if there's ever gonna be one) might be online enabled or have the "demasked" thingie built in.
