Wii U Display Issues with Certain 4:3 Screens

Who the hell has the money to buy a Wii U at launch but doesn't have a HDTV by now......

Solution: Buy a TV that was made in the last 6 years.

I did some tests myself by using an LG TV. The TV has a aspect ratio option it's self.
Wii U: HDMI 4:3 | Aspect Ratio: 16:9 | Result: The screen is squeezed instead.
By setting the Aspect Ratio, I get a letterbox instead. I saw somewhere else that one person said that Mario Kart 8 can configure to 4:3, but when I tried, it was false (probably because of HDMI). However, when I went to the Wii Menu, it looks like a perfect 4:3 Aspect Ratio.

Wii U: Basic, Hooked up with HDMI.
TV: LG 1080p Smart LED TV - 43" Class (42.5" Diag) 43LF5900
