Now I know what I'm gonna check out while waiting for Nintendo's conference.

You might be able to transfer save data for DSiWare titles using a SD card right ? But I understand this is an annoyance not to be able to transfer them wirelessly.

A funny example that shows how the web browser lets you see 3D images from the web directly on your 3DS . Saves us the trouble of downloading them manually on a PC, put them on a SD card, etc..; as long as people link to them directly instead of putting them in a compressed archive file which the 3DS can't handle. Now I hope to see more 3D screenshots on the web in the future .

Unfortuntely the show doesnt work on the 3ds though....no blip.tv (or youtube) support.

The update is very poor...

All that waiting for months and we get a tiny selection of content and hardly any improvements to the system. What's with the horrendous pricing too? £2.70 for Breakout, which you can play for free on the internet. Even Super Mario Land is a rip-off.

I thought there was going to be something special to coincide with their E3 press conference today, but I shouldn't have got my hopes up. It's typical Nintendo again...

Edit: And seriously, no 3D images for games? are Nintendo crazy? I honestly don't get them sometimes.

For some odd reason I just got a notice the update couldn't be installed... Trying again now but I'm getting slightly worried, heh.

EDIT: Alright, it's been installed properly this time. Now to raep the new features!

Marzy - 2D Screenshots are silly, but theres 3D preview videos of some games, a free game, a webbrowser and a pokedex.
Hardly disapointing, its exactly what they said.

I hope to see such stuff more often in the near future for actual 3DS games .

Highly dissapointed with the update, thought it would least address some street pass content as well as friends lists too.

what do you mean "address" streetpass content? Is there bugs in it :?

Its interesting that *.mpo's seem to display in normal browsers too. Makes it easy for websites to just use them for gallery images without worrying about backwards compatibility.

Anyway, added a few final images. I wont do more though as its taking awhile to load

I've personally had problems with streetpass not working at all for me, leading me to have to format the console to get it to work again.

My 3DS was sitting on top of my friend's for hours and they completely failed to exchange data. Even now, sometimes, they take ages to notice each other's presence. If this happens when we're both trying to cause them to exchange data on purpose, I suppose it must be even worse when trying to exchange data with random people on the street. Streetpass seems a bit buggy, at least for me. Now it seems to be working fine, but it wasn't before.

I always figured one person had to be moving or something.
I get 6-7 on busy days in town, so if your struggleing theres certainly something wrong, as they most certainly dont have to be really near eachother for it to work.

Would be handy if someone tested it though to get precise ranges/times for how long it takes.

Why are some of you crying so much and stating about how "poor" the update is? It just came out today for crying out loud. I'd like to point out a few things here:

First off, yes the content does seem to be on the light side of things, but if they were to unload a bunch of content so early in the game, then we'd get spoiled and expect that sort of commitment all of the time. They did say that the SpotPass data would be consistent, so I believe that we at least have a lot to look forward to here soon.

Second, we finally got the internet browser, the ability to transfer our DSiware games over to the 3DS, and also the eShop so that's three nice features right there to tide us over for a while.

Third, Nintendo never promised us any additional content or features for the 3DS when they decided to push back the update, so for those of you who fed into the rumors or speculation over the reason(s) behind the delay, it's all your fault your disappointed so hush and be quiet.

Forth and finally, Nintendo's E3 Conference hasn't even happened yet, so we don't know anything about what they are about to do and what's about to go down, so chill out and be patient. Nintendo's last few E3's have been pretty good and they have been awesome with the surprise announcements lately so we never know what we're going to get. So have some faith and believe in Nintendo. I'm sure they're going to rock it out again this year.

Internet browser's kinda slow, but I don' really know what I expected. Need to play with it more, I just hope you don't get those repeated page load errors like on DSi whenever you try to load something with more than 3 images.

I haven't played with the internet browser yet, but Excite Bike's kinda cool with the 3D effect, and I'm not sure what to do with the Pokedex 3D.

The shop channel's a lot better than the Wii's one though.

Excitebike is sweet i like the update. I agree they cant give us everything first off .. Does anyone now though, when netflix will be available for the 3ds??

The gallery page I set up works just fine with a lot more.
Clearly its just a mater of more ram.

(allthough Opera is a better browser then this...)
