My brother bought Black Ops 2 and a Wii U Pro controller yesterday. First impressions:
The game is a lot of fun. Haven't noticed any performance issues, but I haven't played much of the campaign which is where those apparently are.
I'm still unconvinced when it comes to DLC, but otherwise there's no sense that I'm playing a lesser version of the game. There's split screen, Zombies, my brother and I can play and both be logged in to our Wii U accounts, it's all great so far.
One thing I noticed, and I don't know if this is exclusive to the Wii U version or what because I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else, but when we played zombies sometimes meshes would stretch across the map like they sometimes do in Bethesda games (YouTube it, it yields hilarious results in some cases). This would happen for less than a second and then be gone, but it happened quite a few times. We never logged out or anything so I don't know if it will happen every time we play zombies, but it was a little strange and something I hope they fix.
The Wii U pro controller is great. I wanted BO2 for the Wii U because I liked the Wii Remote and Nunchuck so much, but I have yet to even try them. I played the game a little bit with the GamePad but mostly have stuck to the Pro controller. The buttons have a little learning curve, but nothing too severe.
