Anybody still playing Monster Hunter Tri?

I got Monster Hunter Tri a few days ago and totally love it. Since I'm rather late with getting it, is anybody here still playing it and wants to hunt some stuff online? I'd much prefer getting into the online part of the game with some C3 members over some random people.

I only play it when they put up some good event quests, I've pretty much done every mission in the game. It was such an awesome game, spent 300 hours playing it. I would help you out SirLink but my equipment is too powerful, it'll just make the game too easy and take the fun out of it. What HR are you by the way.

I'm still only HR 1, I spent all my time in offline until now. I just tried some quests alone in online to get my HR up but even the first bosses cause me way more trouble than in offline. I chose 1 player, so it can't be that I fought a boss for 4 players alone. Are all bosses naturally stronger in online?

Too bad that your equipment is too powerful. I should have expected that asking over half a year later though.

Yeah the bosses online have 4 times more HP than the offline ones.
Try joining the Beginners server I'm sure there are a lot of other people on HR 1.

I'll join you sirlink, I haven't gone online ever, because of not knowing anyone.

@L: Ah ok, then soloing bosses won't be the way the go there.

@Wolvesgod: Awesome. Your reason is also somewhat why I waited with online. It's just like those PuGs(Pick up Groups) in MMORPGs, you never know if there are idiots in them.

I'll add you both, sure, I have devastating weapons, but also some lower ranked weapons, which I don't upgrade, so as to give myself a challenge...I can take apart a Great Jaggi in less than a minute with my best stuff!

Also, the Facebook MH Tri page has some good people on it, people who will help you with quests, as well as giving you tips and stuff.

@Scorp: That's a good way to play with not so insanely equipped people too without taking the fun out of it. I'll be online in a bit, depending on how nice Diablos is. Just did him once and blew his head up with some barrel bombs but sadly only 1 fang from him. Need 1 more. I'll PM you after I'm done. Shouldn't take too long as I'm going to end it with the sidequests this time.

I don't have Wiispeak btw. I have a keyboard but not all the time because I have to snag the one from our PC. Wish I could just use my laptop for it.

I got the game for Christmas a few days ago. I have no idea how playing online works, haha. But I can make an attempt to play with you guys.

get online, tell us you're online, hope to god that we get the message while you're still online, we add u, and kick some monster butt with you

I'll try to do that, haha. I'm in the States, though, so being on at the same time as a lot of the members here might be pretty rare. To get online, I just select "city" rather than "village," right?

From what I've read, North America/Europe have different servers meaning we can't actually play together. That really sucks, if you ask me. :/

To be honest, I'd never actually noticed that I'd not played against any Americans. Have played against Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch...in fact, all the Euro countries, but no Americans. Guess the server comment is spot on then, shame really. And yes, all you need to do is select City and you'll get online

Yeah, it's a shame. I guess they had some reasons for doing this, maybe to avoid lag? I haven't experienced any kind of lag yet playing and that's probably because we have our own servers. Maybe it's for the better since even the slightest lag during an intense bossfight could be fatal.

@Scorp: Yeah, I'm looking forward to some more as well especially once I'm out of those freaking low HRs. The bosses I'd like to do with other people because they're still a pain in the ass for me are all HR18+ or even higher. Not to mention I really need some high rank mats for my weapons.

I'm going to buy some cheap ass keyboard soon for it too because I can already see, I'm going to spend LOTS of time playing online. Oh and I'm gonna be online around evening again when I can snag the keyboard. It's just too painful otherwise.

If any of you guys are HR51+ by 26-29 Jan you can help me and my Bro out on the event quest: Where Gods Fear to Tread. It's the only quest we haven't done plus it'll be better playing with people we know because it's meant to be really hard.

If so, I'm in. It's an easy peasy way to get Skypiercers.

Wow HR 100 O_o and yeah it's the Super Alatreon one. I've never attempted it before. They made normal Altreon too easy though because you can put him to sleep and then everyone does that sleep bombing technique. I hate it when people do that, I prefer doing it the old fashion way by beating the shit out of it. It makes it more of a challenge.

They keep the servers separate? That sucks :/

oooooo I'm about to restart on Tri...

I've bought black ops and love it, but it also made me yearn for the tri days, keyboard prancing and big boss stinging co-op ahoy. More communication and epicness.

But, my hr93 character is no use. Because it is on my disc drive dead wii; ironically it died with black ops in it. And hooray, you cannot copy your smash bros or your tri saves, so I'm doomed to start over... red wii without data, and you just might meet me online soon!

@erv: Wow, I don't think I would have the motivation to restart on Tri if I had gotten so far in it. Then again, it's insanely addicting and I just can't stop.
