It is by far the best way to control 3rd person games. It could do with tweaking: run and shoot for certain games. Maybe a bound box so that you can use the IR controls to look around. Motion plus to remove waggle for melee combat.
I struggled to play a game like gears of war because my right thumb doesnt have the same precise control as my left. You need to learn that stuff when your young. I learnt from using the N64 pad but picked up a dual analogue pad too late.
In any case its ten times faster to point and click. You can have more enemies that are faster on screen.
