I also have a stigmatism (my eyes are slightly oval). I had some glasses for a few years but they kept breaking and I had to have them repaired and in the end, I got a pair of nice oakleys for about £120 and they are pretty strong (made of titanium) Which I would Highly recomend (look a few pages back on the latest purchases thread) I only really use them for computer work as well as the odd lesson if I sit at the back as it reduces the strain on my eyes as I don't need to frown.
I also have 2 floaters in my right eye (Dead cells that kind of sit there) and I only notice them when it's bright or I'm reading (occasionally) It's annoying though and I prey you don't get them, They arn't serious, just a pain in the arse.
Good luck getting some good glasses, only go for the ones that are comfortable for you and suit you the best, also make sure they are strong and sturdy and will hopefully last quite some time.
