Metroid Prime WiiPort Dated in Japan [news]

I will be, I never completed the first one, Is it Prime 1 and 2 or is it just 1?
Either way im getting it.
Ive got alot of games to catch up on, thankgod its my 18th in like 3 months, thatll give me some cash

If the controls are as good as those in Prime 3, then yeah I'd probably get it.

I got half way through the first one. but it was my mates, and I had to give it back. I really enjoyed it, it wasn't too easy or hard, and I think i'll get it when it comes over here.

I'll definitely need to pick this up since I don't own the cube version.

Will be picking this and MP2 up on day 1. Find going back to the controls on the GC versions hard after playing MP3.

MP1 and MP2 are miles better than MP3 and deserve to be played like this.

Widescreen suppport is much appreciated also.

I wouldn't say they're miles better but 1 definitely is the best then 3. I kind of found 2 a bit boring so I rushed through it missing most items.
Oh yeah I just remembered that 2 has a multiplayer. I wonder how that's gonna work on the wii?

I'd pick it up if its cheaper than most 'normal' wii games seeing as though its essentially a quite old cube game at heart.

Prime 1 and 2 are miles better than 3, what ever happened to it between 2 and 3, oh I know what it was the Wii. I always wanted 3 to be on GC.....

Birdo, you do know that EVERYONE loves the Wii controlls Metroid Prime 3 right?
The Wii nothing but improved Prime.

The downsides too number 3 had absolutely nothing to do with it being on the Wii.

That said, I\'m not even sure 3 was worse.
Granted, the weapons wernt as smart, and neither was the visors...both a bit of a let down.
But, on the other hand, I thought pacing, atmosphere and storytelling was best in the series.
The balance was much better specific...the first game had some poor spacing between save slots compared to 3 which was much more fluid.
Also, some of non-shotting aspexs were simple but really effective in 3. The welding ability, for instance, worked nicely.
As did all the bonus\'s...the concept art and other bonus unlocking system was **much** more nicely done then the first 2 games.
I loved the stickers for the ship

Overall I think I would rate the games;
1>3>2
But I dont think 1 is way better then 3.
Just moderately so.

Man i never got the chance to play metriod 3 is it still for sale in stores or what.

I'm definitely pick up this bad mutha on launch day.;- I'm certain Ninty will release it hear in the States soon.

I'm even more excited about MP2:E getting a 'Wiimake'. Oh, god. I hope they'd include WLAN for Echoes' multiplayer. *slobbers*

i have had Metroid Prime 3 for over a year now and i havnt even played it. Completed number 1 and got about 20% through it before i got bored.

No need to pick up these kinda games, it only slightly changes the gameplay. I woulndt mind having it, or the Resi 4 remake, but at the same time i still have better ways to spend £20 or whatever.

Awsome game... Still have it for the gamecube.

Meh, I may pass on this one. I just don't really care for it, and even if I did, I could just go buy the GC version used.

Prime is in one box, prime2 is in another (look at the Mario Tennis commercial, they show the boxes at the end for MP and MP2)

I have MP1 and 2 on the Cube and I don't plan on replaying them, so no, I won't get the wiimakes.

Own and finished both MP on GC but this new control method, 16:9, 480p and a little extra polish on the frame rate here and there would definitely make me consider this.

You know its sad, but I might actually consider getting this. And I am the one who's been getting angry people who get so excited and wish so much for remakes.

I\'m not talking about the wii controls I\'m talking about the overall effect the wii had on the game. I thought it was dumbed down compared to the first two. I fucking flew through three. One and two were alot more of a challenge. Granted 2 had the cliche dark vs light theme but the gameplay was spot-on compared to the first one. I\'ll give three the story telling aspect but the it was WAYYYYYY too short (I cannot put more of a emphasis on this the main game was like hunters, I don\'t give a shit about stickers or concept art that try and draw the game out) and totally spoiled it for me. The controls I could have survived without (and i didn\'t love) and were a gimmick.

They\'ll will do sweet FA for the multiplayer (even though hunters showed us metroid can be done in multiplayer ) :-x

I encourage everyone to have a shot at this if you haven\'t already. This is one of the gamecubes finest moments (if not the best).
