Man, that was such a bitch to do, that bloody Toy purple coin challenge. For me I went left, doing a jump spin to get those corner coins, then right to the top corner where there's a big section of yellow rotators, then right again, long-jumping the big pit, doing the same again turning right, collecting as many as you can in the middle before going back to the beginning.

Best thing to do is to stack up lives. You can get 5 each time you enter the Observatory by flying about using the red star

yeh i was thinking of doing that once i get a weekend off uni

Marzy, I bet if you went back to play Mario Sunshine, you could complete it, I found it easier than Mario Galaxy, and it was released 5 years ago.

Just remember that your skill level grows with you. 6 years ago I was "good" at Smash Bros, but now I'm what you'd call "pwnage" you see?

I don't think Mario Galaxy is the easiest Mario game. If it was I wouldnt have died so many times while I was playing it! (I never usually die in games... I'm just too good, and modest!)

I tried a couple of weeks back and I still can't do it. I find it harder than Galaxy and I hate the F.L.U.D.D, it totally spoils it for me.

I even liked Mario Bros 2 more than Sunshine. I just really hated Sunshine, it's the worst Mario game I've played.

Thanks, I probably wont be playing it for a long time though. I just wanted to get 120 with Mario and then concentrate on other games I have on the go.

I agree with Marzy...Mario Sunshine was the worst Mario platformer ever !!!

That Aside I finaly finish Galaxy with 120 stars...YAY for me

I really liked mario sunshine...and metroid hunters...and baten kaitos.

Since I managed to beat that challenge, I actually enjoy playing it again and again. Everytime I play Galaxy now, I first head for that challenge, its actually fun now, what with the awesome music and sense of accomplishment.

i like them as well. And i just got the TOY GALAXY STAR YES!!!!!!!! now to get luigi

Started to play more of SMG and finally got to the Toy Galaxy. It is far by the best galaxy so far.

TBH, Spring Mario is a bit of a bothersome power up though.

I bought SMG 1.5 weeks ago. I have 63 stars, but I haven't faced Bowser yet. I'm very busy recently, but I want to take my time for Bowser.

Great game. Best I've played in years.

Just finished this. 242 stars at last. the Luigi purple coins was the hardest but not the most frustrating. That honour goes to the battlerock purple coins. This was fine with Mario but Luigi and his skidding realy got on my nerves

Great game, I'm 43 and enjoyed it immensely. Well worth the money and kept my interest for 2 months.

God, im at that boss level in the bedroom, the one with the dark matter. That level is an absolute BITCH. Especially the part where your on the moving platforms and the arrows pull you down INTO the dark matter. UGGGGHHHH

I finished the game one month and 25 days ago [I think]. It didn't stand a weekend , and aswell as my other games I haven't played it since that day .

It was cool to use Luigi and rescue Luigi, saying they were twins . And the Grand Finale Galaxy was nice too.

I had a rough time trying to find the Grand Finale galaxy by my own [that was pretty dumb of me] but a least I can say it's next to the Challenge Galaxies on the Challenge Platform just if you have a rough time too .

Guys I need to ask a question... Everytime I start a game on SMG my life goes back to 5??? I might play the game for about 2/3 hours get about 40/60 lives then I turn the Wii off, next day I start playing and my life stock is back to 5???
Is it just me or does this happen in every game...???

It happens in every game.

I thought is was also weird at first, but I didn't mined on the end, as it's pretty easy to get your life's up again and it made the game a bit harder.

I wouldn\'t want to save my lives every time.... I like the pressure of nearing the Game Over screen!

And it\'s always been like this in Mario games.... except maybe Super Mario All-Stars.

Edit: Was \"Luigi\'s Purple Coins\" really the hardest level? I got it in like 6 tries. It was a lot of fun to do, but not half as hard as I imagined... I\'m still waiting for the pixel-perfect movement levels. Like the FLUDD-less levels in SMS, but hopefully a bit harder (the spin in the air is too much of a lifesaver).

Hah, my little cousin deleted my SMG file. I can't be bothered to start again...

I could I started a new file anyway, 'cos I love it so much ^^
