& stuff like this being posted hurts my head.

People may have completed it in a week, but why has it been so well recieved despite that? Of course, since you've never played it you don't understand that, maybe it's because it's just such a good game. Smilie

I mean FFS, I could probably complete the Halo Campaign in a day or two, & I don't go on the Halo thread & be all bitter about it because I don't have the game. Smilie

Anyhow, how is the Co-op guys? Most reviews seem mixed on it. Some say its tacked on, other think its great. Any hands on thoughts?

It feels a bit tacked on, but that's not a bad thing at all. It's actually really fun. The only problem is that holding down enemies makes you feel like you're cheating.

It's definitely better than nothing though.

I've only played it a teeny bit in co-op, but it seems okay. I think it's going to be great for people helping out their non-game playing friends or youngsters. I did like manipulating Mario while somebody else was supposed to be playing...Smilie

Less than a day for CoD4's campaign.

I like the Co Star mode the idea that it's tacked on is a stupid one and lacks any insight into how Nintendo do things as a company. Implementing something as simple as this is part of the ethos behind Wii, they want to get people involved, and they want the experience to be gentle enough so that those new that have tried it have confidence then to pick up a Wii Remote and play solo.

I just finished the game with Luigi as well.

Yeah, I heard about that, would have been a nice surprise but... I couldn't help it Smilie

For those who've gotten 120 Stars with Mario & have been able to travel to a "new world".

I don't believe so many of you have completed the game! I'm still on something in the region of 45. I don't want to rush the game at all.

Oh yeah. 120 stars!! Smilie

Hmm... some more thoughts on the "secret character"

*Is still having lots of fun*

Considering tomorrow morning it'll be a week since I've got the game, and I'm still playing it in every waking hour even after completing it once, it must be doing something right. Not to mention I somehow manage to complete games in a week or two that would have taken others more weeks, maybe even a month or two. Longest game I've ever had to complete was ToS, which I finished in less than 2 weeks Smilie

Apparently there are subtle differences between them...

Between who? The "Twins"?

Haha Sylpharion...good job hiding a spoiler right after u mentioned another before that.

I happen to really like the co-op mode. When i was young id always watch my brother play games. Especially Mario and Zelda... id always watch and as a kid who wasn't too good at video games (this was when i was less than 7 years old). When i was playing Galaxy my brother, was playing co-op with me as the 2nd player and he was having loads of fun. This mode is great for a younger brother or sister who wants to play with you while he/she watches aswell. It make you feel more involved. I did ask my brother to not make me jump and to not hold/freeze enemies.

I wish games had an option like this when i was younger

You have taken the runner up spot and will receive 500 Wii Points for a game of your choice! Smilie.

(SMB3 would be a great choice)

Think I'll wait until the Gift feature launches before I decide. (I would pick SMB3 but I've played it to death everywhere else alreadySmilie).

Oops...Smilie Sorry! But I assumed everyone must have known about that by now.Smilie

I'm a little disappointed in the availability of the Red Star power up. I mean come on, only available in the lobby, & one "sort of" galaxy. You'd think they'd make it available for some of the other Purple Comet stars?

Super Mario Galaxy

Mario is quite possibly the king of games. He's known by just about everyone these days, even the non-gaming community. He's like what Micky Mouse is to Disney and a gaming icon that will probably remain as one of the greatest in history for a very, very long time

The hidden star on Sea Slide Galaxy. Nasty. I managed it eventually though, much relief. I refused to move on until I'd bested it.

I must play games just like you do. Smilie

That blasted thing killed me 20 times, at first I took it well but after about 10 losses I was getting into "stupid game's collision detection is not working" territory.

Does anyone else like to shake their Nunchuk & Wii remote like maracas after feeding a Luma Smilie

Not me, although I like to do a victory pose when I get a star.Smilie

5 more days till i get this game. Smilie

As do I Smilie

It seems a rather nerdy thing to do. Bravoforme!

I would have thought everyone does it, getting some of those stars is a relief so you just have to let that little bit of tension out.
