Sounds exciting Mason! Keep us posted bit by bit! Smilie It's been getting good reviews from most places too - except for one place that gave it a 55 out of 100 (what the crap?!).

I'm just now starting to "really" get into Trials and Tribulations as well. I'm in court in the second case, am enjoying it so far.

Sorta spoilerish for Trials and Tribulations, case 2.

Every case in that game rocks. That one in particular has some great twists and turns! Smilie

Apollo Justice case 2 is a bit of a slow starter so far.

I\'m not finding myself as enamoured with it as much as I am with the other games, sadly - it has some big things that I want answers to, but I know they\'re probably not going to get revealed until the last part of the game and there\'s too much mmming and ahhing and being mysterious and ambiguous at the moment. I hope it picks up, but I have this horrid feeling that the first case will end up being one of the best in the game (great case, but do I want most of the best moments of the whole thing in the first hour or two of gameplay? Not really.).

Still, it\'s the Ace Attorney series, so I have some faith that it\'ll turn out okay and I\'ll be eating several hats by the end of the game.

T&T is awesome, way better than the other two IMO ^^ Case 4 isn't excellent, but Case 5 is absolutely AMAZING.

Can't wait for Apollo Justice. Smilie There were some in my import shop, but my friend bought the last copy XD I'll have to wait until more get in stock.

!!

(spoiler for Trials and Tribulations case 2)

Shame about Apollo Justice not quite grabbing you yet Mason. Smilie Hopefully it picks up soon. How are you liking the new stuff though? Is it 'technically' better as far as visuals and the better gadgetry?

Case 2 is a slow starter and it does pick up. When you reach the end and everything starts making sense you'll realise why you needed to go through that slow start.

Case 3 is miles better though.

Still nothing compares to the final case in Justice for all. The final case in T&T comes close mind.

Definitely technically better - there\'s forensics stuff as in the last case of the first DS game, and 3D environments are used for the re-enactments in court. The graphics and audio are bumped up and improved over the other three. The animation in particular is absolutely gorgeous at times.

Don\'t get me wrong, it\'s still good. It\'s just not fully gripped me yet. It\'s still making me laugh as much as the others, and it has perked up quite a bit since I last posted.

One disagrees, the final case in T&T is the best case in the whole series IMO Smilie. And it sure was hard to beat JFA\'s 4th case in terms of epicness, but T&T 5 proves that nothing is impossible Smilie

EDIT: I\'ve seen a few sprites for Apollo Justice (mainly just the main-non spoiler characters, Apollo, Trucy etc.) and I really like the animations.

What!? How can any case be more epic than the fourth case of Ace Attorney? I'm only part way through the second case of Trials and Tribulations though so I'm sure one will better it eventually. Apollo Justice is waiting in the wings as well, got to finish T&T first though.

Hasn't Traials and Tribulations already come out, because I'm sitting here, looking at my little DS square with the same name.SmilieSmilie

It's out in the US, but not Europe. Though any sane European has downloaded it by now... Smilie

Fixed. Smilie

Mason you're going to love the fourth case. I forget does your name come from Pheonix Wright or did the name come first and the PW obsession later? I'm pretty sure it's the latter otherwise I may need to go through the earlier games again.

As... (4th Case Spoiler obviously)

Case 2 is a slow starter and it does pick up. When you reach the end and everything starts making sense you'll realise why you needed to go through that slow start.

Yeah, its definitely in the pick up stage now, I think. Really fun at the moment. I'll be playing it a bit today. At the moment I am really enjoying this and a good book, so the two are fighting each other for time at the moment. Smilie

Still nothing compares to the final case in Justice for all.

I suppose I'll see how I feel at the end of Trials and Tribulations, but I do agree that it'll be darn tough to top that case. That was a series defining case. When I think of Phoenix Wright, my mind immediately jumps to that one.

Definitely technically better - there's forensics stuff as in the last case of the first DS game, and 3D environments are used for the re-enactments in court. The graphics and audio are bumped up and improved over the other three. The animation in particular is absolutely gorgeous at times.

That's atleast good to hear. The animation and visuals were always decent with plenty of charm, but its great that they've boosted it. Better animation and better graphics are atleast a nice step forward for the series! Smilie

Nope, the name is actually my name. Smilie I'm not up to case four yet.

However, the game has definitely come into its own. I'm really enjoying it now, right at the end of case 3 - some nice twists, even though I'm sortof guessing stuff ahead of it happening. Case 4 should be epic, I hope...

IVE JUST COMPLETED ACE ATTOURNEY!!!
Plug the other games to my veins!!!
im gonna get the second one soon XD
so gripping, i feel for edgey.

Well, I got Apollo today. I might not be able to play it for a while, since my brother has ownage of this one Smilie But hopefully soon. Glad to hear you're enjoying it now Mason. I don't think it'll stand up to the Phoenix Wright series, but I know I'll love it none the less.

Case four so far is fantastic. I\'m probably just over the halfway point, because a lot has happened but I feel there\'s still tons.

I\'m getting a kick out of the fact that... (mid-case 4 spoiler - not a story spoiler, just an \'element of the story\' spoiler, if that makes sense.)

EDIT: Finished! Great game, not sure if I feel it was as good as the others, though. It felt really different to me because of the new characters and some of the new features, so I\'m not really sure I compare it that accurately. Much better in some ways, not quite as good in others. I will say that I think it was a nice starting point for a revival/freshening up of the franchise and leaves it to potentially go in some interesting places for the now-inevitable Ace Attorney 5. More dodgy plotholes than the others though I thought...

Case 4 spoiler:

( Edited 09.03.2008 20:05 by Mason )

The best one is trials and tribulations and then it is applo justice. The storys in the last cases in T&T JFA and ace attorney are just breathtaking. The indepth of the games is just spectacular. The characters are well designed. Everything about this series is awsome.Smilie

I completed Apollo!

It's... amazing Smilie I genuinly don't know if I prefer it to T&T or not. The last case was just epic, with loads of plot twists and every case in the game really tied up with each other...

Though I have no idea what [C3Member's-name-in-CAPS] System is... It really pissed me off >.< I WANNA KNOW WHAT THE HELL IT IS.

And when did you who've finished it figure out the whole (MEGA SPOILER)

thing? I got my first suspicions just moe than halfway through the case probably...

Bring on GS5!

I guessed that it was something like that in about the second or third case, but I didn't work out the whole thing.

As for the system...

Agreed on that last part (long big spoiler ahead Smilie)

Well... (from Wiki)

A project named New Gyakuten Not Saiban (NEW?? NOT??, New Gyakuten Not Saiban? \"NEW Turnabout, NOT Trial\") is slated for release on April 20, 2008. Information on exactly what the project is has not been revealed.

Strange game title? Seems to me like it could possibly be the last one, or just a spin off. I\'d love for it to go on, but it just doesn\'t seem like the kind of series that can live long like Mario or Zelda.

Still, April 20th is very close, and still no real info? Very weird.

EDIT: Oh, and:

I think it's going to be a spin off or something. I'm hoping it'll be an anime project or something, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a game or not...

An anime would be just awesome... Or a Wii game?! Who knows... That'd be amazing too...

BUMP EDIT: Well speak of the devil...

!!!

And to think we were talking about it only yesterday! So whaddyou think it'll be called in the west? I think "Miles Edgeworth: Pro Prosecutor" sounds good Smilie

As you can tell, I am quite excited.
