Yes, has all 3 in all 3 components. Direct connect to any not working. Direct TV is satellite TV,
What's Direct TV?
Does your TV have Scart input (red, yellow, white) sockets?
Oh right - Does it work direct to TV?
Nope
The direct Tv is like a cable box correct? Try taking the 3 colored prongs thar are in the tv from box connecction (if there are any) then putting in the GC prongs... If thats not the case try changing the input on your tv i.e. cable to video...

You sure the leads are connected properly to the right slots on the TV and that you're selecting the right input.
Have you tried using the GameCube on different TVs or using different leads?
I've tried all the different hookups I can think of with the 3 colors. For some reason, the input isn't working with Direct TV. That's how I'd always access the GC when I had regular cable. None of my 3 TVs have been successful in hooking up. I wonder if I need another wire hooked up somewhere. The Satellite box has inputs for "S-video" and "off-line." ???
If the GC doesn't work hooked directly to the TV, you're not going to get it working running through whatever bizarre contraption you're talking about.
my freind has direct tv and he gets his wii and ps2 to work fine... he has something that all the systems plug into...
First off lets try things through the VCR. I will be assuming here that you have the VCR hooked directly to the TV (i.e. not through the satellite box or anything else)
1. Make sure the Game Cube cable !THAT ISN'T A SCART CABLE!(red, white, yellow) is hooked up to the VCR through the input of the same color. Not output.
2. Make sure your satellite box is turned off, and you are just on normal TV.
3. Go ahead and turn on the Cube, then make sure your VCR is also on. Make sure the TV itself is set to channel 3 (or 2 depending on what you have set up).
4. Hit TV/VCR button on the VCR remote. Then when it switches to your VCR hit the input button on the VCR remote. You may have to cycle through one or two inputs to get where the Cube will be playing. Make sure the Cube is on so that you know immediately when you've reached it.
5. If your VCR remote does not have an input button, you may need to manually cycle there by changing the channel. The input "channels" are generally beyond 100 and before 1. Somewhere in that no man's land you should come across them. Again, make sure the Cube is on so that you now when you've reached it.
It sounds fairly complicated, but it really isn't. That's what I did when I had satellite and the Cube was hooked up through the VCR. Mind you if your setup is different this may not work. In which case, I'll try to suggest something else. Hope this helps.

You may have a very good point there, but I refuse to give up just yet.
1. Make sure the Game Cube Scart cable (red, white, yellow) is hooked up to the VCR through the input of the same color. Not output.
SCART:
My bad. You win.

That's for Jacob4000.

Yeah, not too many of those still around, but back in the day that's what I'd hook everything up through.
