Mario Galaxy.
Was that meant to be a 'there's actually only one good game coming out for the Wii' comment, or a 'this game alone makes buying a Wii worthwhile' comment? Because I can't say I agree with either. Nobody would buy a console solely for one Mario game, no matter how good it is...
'coughNintendo64cough'
...oh yes. Forgot that.
'coughNEScoughSNEScough'
Okay, so people would buy a console solely for a Mario game, but fortunately the Wii also has plenty of other great games emerging. Just look at the previous page of posts to see them. (Come on Brawl.)

Faust, the moderating team kindly ask that you stop making these type of posts. It adds nothing to the topic at hand and is there merely to inflame a situation. Regardless of whether its pro-Nintendo on a Nintendo fansite it is still trolling.

Im a little confused here, are their people on here with multiple user names, and faust is actually Dojo, and is Goodboy scolivee in disguise?, because as far as i can see Dojo has not posted.LS

Very bad case of mistaken identities. My apologies Dojo.
SSX Blur!
SSX Blur!
Can anyone see this?! I swear to god this game is awesome and its whooping my ass cuz I suck at the wack-ass designed slalom courses.
SSX Blur and Sonic have me rocking my Wii as hard as I did with Zelda - I am a very happy owner --
oh - two cents while I'm making a scene here and its late and I'm raving on about things
-- Screw Ubisoft for Re-Releasing PoP: Two Thrones with Wii-controls - and they'll prolly charge full price for it -- ppppfffft! NO!
-- 3rd party games are going to be nuts by June - mark my words
-- Give the Wii time. Its been out for almost four months - in that amount of time a school year hasn't even been completed. At LEAST let it finish its freshman year in existence before you start ripping it apart about [insert complain here]. GEEZ!
I'm done
I haven't bothered to read everything written, but I must ask - did you really not anticipate this drought? It's a new console - more specifically, it's a new Nintendo console. The drip-feed of new games will continue as it always has, and it is arguably the only thing standing between Nintendo and domination of the market.
It's an investment, like every new console is. I'm happy to have one now because I know that getting one was an inevitibility and it's unlikely to get much cheaper anytime soon. I'm using it for playing those GC titles I missed (Viewtiful Joe is absolutely awesome btw), and I also picked up a stupidly cheap DC so I'm going to give Shenmue a well-deserved whirl. I know time and money are huge factors to consider when gaming, but there's plenty of cheap options available until the killer-app comes along. The good thing is that they definitely will come, as they eventually do for every console. Just sit tight.
Same thing happened with the DS. Woo Wario ware! Woo Mario 64! Um... what now?
Then, a few months later, wooosh! Pile of good games.
So to those who say the Wii'll have no games, I say
I agree with all the comments here made about SSX, i dont care at all about it's high learning curve, in fact that is exactly what makes it appeal to me furthur.
Its brilliant that that you will have to play intensely to beat seasoned players, i dont agree with what some reviewers are saying about the UBER moves being too hard to pull off, that's a plus in my book, and besides they have hardly had enough time to perfect their skills, Wii remote gesturing at speed is a whole lot harder to do than peforming button combinations at speed, this is what they have been used to in the past.
They need to acknowledge that fact when reviewing such games on the Wii in future, SSX will be for the hardcore gamer and its on a Nintendo console!. LS

Preach on Linky - tell these people what they need to know!
Whhooo!! I'm feelin' like havin' a little church in here!
...ok I'm done - off to bed with me.

I sort of agree with Oni Ninja about waiting a year, it is a good point, & it's not bias seeing as he did mention the 360 took a year to get good games too.
As I have said many times, it depends on what gamer you are, but do yourself a favour & just don't give up on the Wii, it'll get better over time. I don't think any console should be given up on depending on how their launch period is.
Though PSP hasn't gotten much better in the 2 years it's been out
Grumbler and Naruto, there was no need for that. Steve if you wish to argue with a moderator's decision THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE YOU then send that moderator a pm to dispute it.
But just so that you don't claim the judgement unfair, here's the reasoning for not warning Oni-Ninja; He didn't do anything wrong. We could continue this argument and I could ask you to point out what was trolling about Oni-Ninja's post but there wouldn't be any point as there's nothing there.
He stated that there's no games on the system. That is a valid point which is held by many people. It was not an insult and only by the furthest stretch of the imagination could it be seen as trying to provoke someone.

So the fact he says only 'there are no games' in COUNTLESS threads related to gaming on Wii(be it positive or negative) doesn't really matter herE? Fine. Fuck you Gastrian, I'm out.

& Grumbler hasn't even posted on this thread.
Calm down people, no need to get all worked up. Just enjoy the forums guys, arguing and getting all irritated doesn't do any good...
I have noted that vibe also in some of his posts, but have not applied any real thought about it because of the first impression he gives to new members, tradition or not.
Yes it may be a bit irritating and dull to have to see constantly, but it's not overly so until this sort of thing happens,- when the thread is taken over by such quibbles, just ignore it like the mods are doing.
In the short time i have been here i have detected a anti Nintendo feeling from some quarters and cannot understand this at all, while i myself own all the consoles yet, i consider my heart rooted to Nintendo above all, i will also criticise Nintendo on occasion, but with good reason when i feel it's necessary, i cannot fathom why a Nintendo fan would choose to do it constantly in such a lame manner, especially in relation to games releases for a three month old console.
My standpoint on the topic subject matter is very simple, i agree whole heartedly with all the iteligent posts here and also think that if one company in particular had produced better quality games from the launch line up this whole thing would not be so much of a issue now, a solitary good game here and there makes all the difference to the overall perception, there will be some of those games next month thankfully, people need to chill out in a few respects. That is a viewpoint that changes with experience of Kellerman, Grumbler and Oni-Ninja. They aren't anti-nintendo per-say. Its like being a Liverpool supporter, yes they had a great history and yes they've got plenty of potential but there's still things they are doing wrong. The above three aren't anti-nintendo, in fact they may be more pro-nintendo than you. They don't want to see Nintendo fail, they want to see Nintendo improve and become the games console they want it to be.
How can you speak so clearly on their behalf as a moderator Gastrian? I wonder.

Well first off Nintendo has been a religion of mine since 1987, i cannot genuinely comprehend the term- more pro Nintendo in the context in which you use it, i have Nintendo in my blood, it's not something i need to display in anyway to anybody else and it's certainly no competition.
My love for Nintendo and their company ethos does not blind me to any errors they make, i am well aware of the few that they have already made concerning the Wii, and in the past, but that will never warp my opinion of them enough to spout nonsense, as I know that it is ultimately to the benefit of Nintendo's future that they learn from such mistakes, and they have openly admitted some in recent interviews in Super Famitsu Nintendo and on the console aims section of the Iwata interviews..
I find it interesting you mention these members when i have not myself, nor has any other within this thread.
Like i said above this does not concern me to the same level as others here.
EDIT:
"so long as they posted in an intelligent way"- quoted from the post down.
Well i think this is exactly what started this off and angerd others, the fact that it is un-inteligent to post constantly that there are no games on Wii to the irritation of others, this is evident elsewhere on numerous threads, according to others the Wii is not dull but something else is. LS
