I wish the press would shut up about big Nintendo franchises, they're never going to make anything really new at this rate.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

What interested me is a quote I didn't use about them asking 'make a Mario World, like Disney World' and he said 'No, we'd be taking Mario too far then - already done a bad movie and licensed Mario too much in the past'.

Shows Nintendo is learning not to milk certain aspects of its business TOO much (in some cases, anyway).

That's quite comforting.

heh:

With Wii, our target is 25-to-39 year olds.

Everyone indeed.

Smash Bros online, i am getting goosebumps just thinking of it

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

With Wii, our target is 25-to-39 year olds.

When was that said? Smilie

Super Smash Bros online...

In the interview...

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Did you guys get it:

GH: Smash Bros. will be one of the first, and maybe the best game ever for online head-to-head competition. Metroid and Mario (Galaxy) will be next year.

I misinterpreted that, that SB was coming this year, thought "That's impossible, not SSBB. Must be SSBM on Virtual Console with added Multiplayer, because SSBB comes late 2007" Oh, did my temperature rise! *lol*

I just read this small portion of the Interview, but it comforts me, that Nintendo will release demos, new levels and things. That means that for me Online-support will stay hot and does not grow old because I just buy VC-games there and never search for weather and news-info...

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Thats taken slightly out of context, he was asked about how they would be promoting Wii on TV, and clearly NoA have decided to do adverts aimed at 25-39 year olds, probably because people younger will already know about it from other sources. It doesn't mean that the Wii is only targeted at that age range, that would go against all Nintendo have been saying.

By the TV promotion I take it they mean the really pointless 5-second thing that goes...

'What is this?... this is Wii.'

Bad. Bad. Bad.

You think you've got problems.
What are you supposed to do if you are a manically depressed robot?
No don't even bother to answer that.
It just gives me a headache trying to think down to your level.

very good interview! Smilie SSBB Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

If 500 developers have development kits why are they probably less than 100 announced games? And about half of those are probably from EA...
