Ignore zelda. It was reviewd by jeff Gertsman who is a complete cock. Then again, it was the Wii version which does suck..
everythin single review i have read on Twilight Princess said if you get the GameCube version you are at a major disadvantage, so how do you know that the Wii versions sucks, and correct if i am worng but you haven't even played it.
When was Gears of War ever going to come near Zelda, Gears of War great shooter but it doesn't innovate at all in the shooter genre also said by GameCentral.
Looks like red Steel is pants.
Monkey Ball, Rayman, Madden and Zelda are the games that have got the best reviews so far on IGN
Thats just wrong.
The original game was designed for the Gamecube, but it has clearly been primarily a Wii title for quite some time; longer than the production times of most of the Wii launch games.

Have you played Gears of War?
And I haven't played TP, but Dan has and he says it sucks, and I trust him more than I trust IGN. And besides, I'm a lazy bastard. Gotta love button presses.

I have indeed played Gears of War very very good game but people are acting as if it is an unbelievable game which isn't but a very good game around the 85%.
I ain't kidding when i saying that the GCN version is lacking everything single review with the exception of Gamespot(but everyone seems to say the site and the reivewers are shite but i can't say because i never go on it) say the Wiimote enchances your experience. One thing that i like but it is only a minor thing is that the Wii version you can cut grass while running, a neat little extra which isn't capable on the GameCube version, not to mention fishing etc and point blank aiming which are far betterly done on via the Wiimote.

Actually i've ready that the Wii controller is quite liberating in the sense both your hands arn't sitting infront of you constantly close togeather. You can rest your nun chuck arm on your lap or were ever while you can rest your other Wiiremote arm on your other lap, so in a way you can actually end up looking like more of a slob playing the wii .

Oh, give over! It's been in the making for Wii for a year or so. It's been in the making for GC for four years or so. That's all the proof I need. PLus the Wii version is all wonky, and the wrong way around. A right-handed Link? Pah!!
PLus the Wii version is all wonky, and the wrong way around
I hope that everytime you mention the Wii version being the wrong way around, you are joking...
As for Gamespot giving TP an 8.8, it seems rather low compared to the rest of the reviews. Then again, they did give Wind Waker a higher score than Majora's Mask.
Red Steel.
ROFLMAO dat is the funny y'all know what im saying?

It seems, like Kirby Air Ride, Red Steel will probably be a game that everyone raves about until it's released, at which point they'll give it shite reviews for no reason whatsoever...
As for Zelda... Well we'll see what they give the GC version...
I have indeed played Gears of War very very good game but people are acting as if it is an unbelievable game which isn't but a very good game around the 85%.
Its barely out. You haven't played it in nearly enough depth to know how good it is yet.
I'll go with every other websites opinion on Zelda, besides it's the "untacked" version I want anyway, which if GameSpot reviewed the GC version, in theory should up the score a little....
It's looking like this will NOT be the greatest Zelda game ever made though, as I said before, it may be superior to OOT in every way, but it doesn't have the same magic OOT did. OOT became the greatest game ever made by accident, Nintendo said so themselves, they never expected it to be what it was, but with TP they were actually TRYING to make it the best Zelda ever. It doesn't work like that. You don't try to make a good game, you DO IT.
& I'm incredibly disappointed with the Red Steel review, but Gamerankings gives it an average of 70%, which means it must be pretty good afterall.
EDIT: Proof that TP is made for GC & not for Wii:
When the next Wii exclusive Zelda game comes, it will have a COMPLETELY different control, & maybe veen play style, as it's been said, WiiTP is basically classic OOT gameplay with new controls, the next Zelda on Wii will have a new style. As it would have been MADE for Wii.

Oni-Ninja said:Gamespot said:Zelda:The Good: Compelling characters and story; outstanding world and puzzle design; longer than most action adventure games; terrific graphics, from an artistic perspective. The Bad: Wii-specific elements feel tacked on; graphics and sound sometimes go from nostalgic to dated.Dear oh dear oh dear! Isnt that what me and Grumbles have been saying for ages, with you lot insisting that were oh so wrong? In your face! GC Zelda for the win!!
Oh go and have sex with him or something
Yeah but the Wii version is GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!
I'm also on the fence with the controls, I'd only get the most from Zelda Wii if I had plenty of space and a bigger television for my room but it's a bit tight to buy all that stuff with nothing else out that appeals to me for the console. Hell I might even wait for a while before buying Zelda altogether.
As for the Gamespot review? .2 from a wholly respectable 9/10 isn't the be all, end all. The guy might also be begrudging the idea of excercising his muscles and posing like a twat while playing but this is debatable.
You'd still buy a decent game rated at 7 out of 10 on average, if it appealed to you, no?
The 'tacked on' phrase is also being overused. People are used to playing a Zelda game with a nice, solid control pad. The Wii-mote takes that away and replaces it with something new, something nice, but invariably like new trainers or boots, they take a little to break into.
Let's face it, the Wii version is offering the more eager and experimentive followers of the series a choice between a new way to approach something familar or your respectable control pad.
Obiviously despite the delays (numerous ones at that) the Wii version dress doesn't quite feel quite right, maybe it pushes my boobs up too much, maybe it's a bit slutty, or the sound and graphic quality has suffered a minor deal due to constraints and circumstances, who knows - but if you're not a fan (or not too slap dash with the money), then trying to get you to buy a Wii version will obviously get nowhere.
You do owe it to yourself to PLAY THE FUCKING GC VERSION at the least before you criticise the game, since the game itself will likely prove to be a very solid, addictive and fun title to play.
{Guild}Ohmdal: But how did you get the poo inside of the box when the goat was sleeping on top of it?
{Guild}Ohmdal: oops wrong chat
The Gamespot people are probably too fat to move...The Wii is too much hard work...all fat people are PS3 fans

Ditto, not since n64 days anyway.

I don't really go to GameSpot for reviews so its score doesn't phase me much at all. They are often all over the place, with some games getting +ve press everywhere but GameSpot. I forget the list myself but I recomend that some non agreeing folks should go thru their game database. It just further proves their unblanced review scheme.
The lack of indepthness of the GS review should also be taken into account. It was unbelievable short for such a hyped title. Just doesn't add up to me.
I also totallyagree with Martin. This game is meant to be 70hrs long, I highly doubt that many reviewers have finished the game. Which is disappointing as I think that the games conclusion would have been awesome.
Why do we even care what GS or IGN score the game, GameRankings already proves that its likely to sit in the top 10 best games of all time list.
This also proves that Zelda Wii nay sayers are just (once again) out right incorrect. I wonder how the GCN version will go?
I just read the Gamespot review and have to be honest thats one of the worst scorings I've seen given to a game.
The bad points were that the graphics looked dated yet they gave it a 9/10?
How can you claim the garphics are a bad point when you write this;
The Wii was designed with relatively modest graphical capabilities, at least from a technical perspective. So if you spend a lot of time trying to pick apart the visuals of Twilight Princess, you'd notice plenty of low-res textures and jagged edges. But that would be missing the point. Twilight Princess is an excellent-looking game due to some terrific art design. Much has already been said about the art style reverting back to a more mature or realistic look after Wind Waker took the series in a decidedly cartoonlike direction. While there's nothing terribly "mature" about this T-rated game, it looks absolutely great from an artistic perspective. The world itself offers the sort of variety you'd naturally expect from a fantasy game, with everything from lakes to deserts to dungeons, but it's when you start seeing the twilight realm that the game really takes off, visually.Twilight realm portals that open up do so with an almost Tron-like glowing, computerized look, and when you teleport around or change forms, that same style shows through, breaking your character into cool, tiny black squares and reforming you in a new place or shape. You're also going to fight a lot of crazy-looking dark shadow creatures, and many of the enemies in Twilight Princess look really nice, up to and including those large boss opponents. At the same time, the game gets a lot of little details right, too. You get a lot of close shots of characters' faces in the game's cutscenes, and their faces are often filled with emotion. The eyes, particularly, convey a lot of soul, which really helps make Link's wolf form work, too. It may have its rough edges here and there, but Twilight Princess is the best-looking launch game on the Wii. Like most other Wii games, you can play this one in 480p and widescreen, if you're so equipped. Playing in progressive scan sharpens things up, which makes some objects look better, but it also makes the edges on everything more jagged-looking.
