Just fixed this news item with the trailer embedded Wow, they're reintroducing an inevitable return character!

I dont like those electrical fields that appear around a characters limb was they've made contact with another Character, it's very annoying.

Lol, yeah, I said the same thing. I wasn't expecting a completely new character to the series yet, but rather a confirmation of an existing character. It would have been awesome if Nintendo did announce a completely new character, but realistically, this isn't the type of event they'd do it with. The game is still in early development and isn't going to launch for about a year. So they have plenty of time. I must say Fox and the new levels look incredible!

It's scary and even a little hilarious how fanboys (and even normal fans) will blow an announcement or report way out of proportion and hype it up 'till kingdom come. Nintendo fans are no exception. Case in point... today's announcment. They'll hype it up (not just fans of the big N) and when the announcement comes to pass for what it really is... they want blood! GAMERS HAVE GOT TO STOP DOING THIS!

Oh, man, I REALLY hope Nintendo will add Waluigi to Brawl. He's the freak'n man!! I Love that guy. I also hope they will give Wario his classic outfit as an alternate costume. Actually, knowing Nintendo, I'd be surprised if they don't.

You know who else I'd go bananas for if Nintendo included him? Wart! I really wish they'd not only add him to Brawl, but into any of Mario's upcoming adventures. Wart rocks and they really should make him a prominent adversary in Mario's games! Tatanga would be another great nemesis.

There are so many characters that I'd go ga-ga to have included in a Smash Bros. game just from Nintendo's franchises. Of course there's just waaaayyyyy too many, but now with the prospect of including 3rd party characters, my list of characters I want has reached into oblivion. Of course core characters from other very popular non-Nintendo series are a must such as Sonic and Megaman for just two examples, but I would love to see secondary and even tertiary characters like Tails and Protoman included. Villains and arch-nemesis are a no-brainer!

I actually think Tingle would be quite a nice addition to Smash Bros Brawl.

I kind of liked them, add to the "smash" aspects of the game. As in it feels more destructive.

Just watched the trailer, I am quite impressed. Characters seem to be able to crawl though, I don't quite see the purpose yet.

im not busting on nintendo characters but it would be bloody awsome if there was cloud i think mega man will be in there to but i would think leon would be like snake if they put him in there

Leon would be the darnest greatest think they could do, just imagine how cool would be a fight between Snake, Link, Leon and Samus.

Who I think nintendo sould add would be Rayman from Custom Robo, Zero from the Megaman Zero series, Klonoa, or Sora from KH2. That would be so cool.

Is anyone a bit disappointed with the graphics? I mean they look so much like Melees, and the animations for some characters look clunky. And a lot of characters are really simple, while others are rendered well (ala link). I am sure they will fix it up though.

^No, I'm loving the graphics. Bit disappointed that Fox was the 'new' character but that was the sweetest trailer I've seen in a long time. Can't wait for this game.

The only problem being that serious characters only work when theres lots of outside humour about them, hence Snake. With Ryo, all the humour is gay jokes.No.

Ok, I watched a better version of the trailer, ummm....I take back what I say. Snake and one level looks a bit crap, but the rest looks awsome. In fact, it proves that the disputed sections of the first trailer where actually ingame, or at least now. I mean look a metaknight, no jaggs at all.
