has it lost the war ? :lvg: :lvg: :link:
Short answer yes with an if.
Long answer no with a but.
the game cube cant lose. the game cube is a powerful little box and cvan do the things that the ps2 cant like for example take it round your mates house as it can carry mopst bit and pieces that it needs. the cubd can courner the market which the ps2 and xbox could not.
what the point of living if you dont feel alive
It hasn't lost the war, it is still wounded but it can still make a comeback with games like Wario world, mario 128 and Star fox 2.
it will never lose with game like starfox and mario 128
sounds like you guys have inheited Nintendos arrogance. It will lose and is already losing. Nintendo have got to advertise and make consumers aware of these games. And even if the massmarket do know about them theres no guarentees on them selling.
It lost the war when SMS went to the top of the charts for one week and then promptly sank like a brick down to the depths of the Top 40 without a trace. It was clear that the PS2 was dominant, and Nintendo didn't have a clue about what to do. The GC2 will be better, it is clear that Iwata has more of a clue as to what is needed. Anyhoo, lets just enjoy the games man!
i wouldnt say nintendo have lost. They are losing but if they make the right moves, especially towards the next console they could easily win back the market. the price drops showed how much interest there still is in the onsole so an official price drop would be the first step.
trhe next console, although i like the GC vey much needs to look 'cooler'.
Nintendo are gettin better and are not as arogant as they once were but the rest of the market better watch out cause there is no way Ninty is going without a fight. :bond: :bond:
This is a battle not 'the war!!' The true war will start once Nintendo, Sony and Xbox release thier next consoles at the same time!
As tempo said, we should be worrying about the games, not Nintendo's situation with advertising strategies, 'the image', or the sales. Nintendo are doing okay for themselves.
Many of you worry too much about the situation.
Whilst the N64 turned out to be a mistake, the GameCube appears to be being used as a testing ground to see if people still really want Nintendo in the playing field. The follow-up to the GC will undoubtedly be the proper successor to the NES - in others words a console where Nintendo goes back to basics, rather than sitting on its laurels and relying purely on reputation to sell units.
That's how I see it anyway.
Its not over till its over. I admit were doing badly at the moment and we will loose if Ninty dont do sommin quick, but theres still a bit of hope left.
If the new Zelda advert is anything to go by Nintendo need to improve their advertising before they make more of them.
And the GBA SP advert......oh dear
