Those little vents in the first pic are new.
csnt wait for this

Laurelin said:Those little vents in the first pic are new.Yeah, see them for the first time, too. But you need a stream of air. right now I only saw where the air left Wii but not where it entered it. Check your local Cube for similarities...
It's lucky you explained that, I don't actually have my own brain.
Looks like a hinge for the front flap to me, not a vent.
Oh, and if anyone can't notice, the power supply looks exactly like one the on the Gamecube, only a different colour. This isn't the first time nintendo have used the same power, expecially with the SP/Micro/DS...
Why would there be a hinge there?
In what way is it the same PSU Phil?

Sorry for sounding arrogant and taking you for being dumb. :-|

...So that it was a flap and it could actually open? The two large bits in the middle look like hinges to me, though it could it be a dual vent/hinge section. I overestimated the size of the flap at first, but the two larger bits look to be about the right size to be hinges for the front flap.

I swear those are vents not a hinge, or are we looking at different things?

I don't think we're talking about the same thing. I mean these:
You can see the front flap hinges on the front flap itself.
The PSU connection on the back of the Wii is completely different to the GC's.

Lol, if those aren't vents then I'll eat my GameCube
I don't think those are hinges chaps.
If you look carefully, there's 4 tabs on that surface. ie "rubber feet" for positioning your system flat on a surface rather than vertical on the stand.
So, yeah, those "slots" are prob vents.
I have a darker screen, so I couldn't tell there was anything until I brightened the 4th, 5th, and 6th pics. I uploaded them to my geocities if anyone wants to look and them brightened up, it's real easy to see (for me at any rate0.
The fourth pic looks like an SD card slot, and the 5th and 6th are GC memory cards, I'm pretty sure. They're right by the GC controller ports.

The weird thing is why is the GC flap split into two parts..
??? who knows!?!?!
anyway nice pics never seem them before!!!
and TAG thanks for your pics aswell!
so it seems like the Wii isnt finishe yet.. isnt it suppose to have the dots under the GC controller slots ". .. ... ...." if you know what i mean!
I know the huge bits are the rubber 'feet'. Look inside the red square, there are two squares of plastic that stand out amongst the vents. I meant that I think those are hinges for the front flap.
EDIT:

Use your GC controllers on Wii games without having to use the memory cards? Use GC controllers for GC games and save to flash memory to avoid use of memory cards? Play a Wii game with the Wii controller but be able to transfer data from a GC memory card (would be useful for something like Pok

Don't really mind the flaps, I'm used to it from having to flap open my DS to play it And even before then I had the same with my GBA SP. Flaps are nothing new to Nintendo, *Game and Watch*
