I have heard that The GAMECUBE 2 is going to be released in the next year or so.
I read an article about it in the magazine "CUBE".
I feel a bit annoyed that they brought out an article about the GC2 just after I had just got a GC.

what the point? ther is no point in doing that as the gamescube is a prettty successfully and popular console :peace:
The point is to compete with Sony head to head. They wanna go up against Playstation and see what they can do. Going head to head will also publicise the GC2 much better as I'd imagine the press coverage of the launch will be huge.
So free publicity, their product will get to a wider demographic who hopefully will see what Nintendo have to offer over Sony and therefore buy an GC2 instead of a PS3.
Definitely. The GameCube will be around for a while, but the GC2 is probably Nintendo's major turning point. The 'Cube has had a good amount of publicity, and Nintendo have finally decided to do something about their "competitors" and actually now consider Sony and Microsoft as business rivals. Heck, Nintendo is slowly getting back to it's roots, but still care about the games.
Many are seeing what Nintendo can do, and the "GC2" will probably most likely be similar to the original, hopefully have backwards compatibility and basically be a refined GameCube.
I reckon it'll be 2005 at the earliest. That's 2 years from now........I was gonna say that's plenty of time. But it's not really. Still, I probably be ready for a new machine in 2 years.
next time a new tv will be in order for me. (imports).
An article in the new EDGE (half life 2 issue) talks about sony building the manufacturing plants in the next few years for their cell chip- so I guess 2005 is about right.
