My brain hurts now!!!!! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Black & White. All of the elements from this game would be brilliant, but to be honest I just want to spank my monkey in 3D.

Rag Doll Kung Fu. I'm excited. Mason's excited. Nin10do's excited. Are you? If you don't know what RDKF is, go Google it. Now. It's perfect for the DS and it's perfect for the Revolution. In the words of the game's creator, Mark Healey:

I WANT A DEVKIT NOW.

Most things I've seen 'next gen' look so bloody boring to me, sure, more realistic looking, but ideas wise, fuck all, just more of the same. Y A W N.

NINTENDO ARE GOD.

On top of that, the Wario Ware team have already expressed an interest. I'd shave off all my hair for RDKF Revolution. And that means all, not contained to my cranium.

Something from Electroplankton creator Toshio Iwai. Anything, really.

SUPER SMASH BROS. and thats all i care about right now. i hope it is online.

I'm pretty sure that iwata said at the E3 Nintendo Conference that it would be online.

Fraz, I don't think the game will be made for the remote controller, instead the controller shell being the intended controller. There's no way you could control Super Smash Bros. with that remote...

Yeah like the CEO NoE said Nintey are making a shell like controller which would be similiar to a GC controller so you can play ported games or normal games!

Katamari Damacy Revolution, god that will be a perfect game on the Revolution. Others in particulary are RTS, i want Blizzard support!

Ninja Gaiden that would be preety cool to have on Rev!

And the Onimusha series which i love, hack-slash game it would be super awsome for the Rev! imagine it now! it owuld work perfectly! Smilie

You got a link where Mark Healey said that Rob? I forgot Ragdoll Kung Fu entirely (not for the first time), but it definitely belongs on the Revolution. I'd love another of Iwai's musical experimental games, too.

Smash Bros. could be handled with the remote and analogue attachment IMO. I've posted it before, on these forums I think.

Found it:

If you want to be conventional, you move with the analogue stick, jump with one of the two Z triggers on analogue attachment, grabbing with the other. Attack and dodge using the A, B, Select buttons and the d-pad (the Select button was used to activate Morph Ball mode in the Metroid Prime 2 tech demo).

If you want to be more revolutionary and use the pointer, you don't need the d-pad or select, you can be doing moves by doing combinations of arm movements and the A and B buttons, still move with the analogue stick and jump and grab with the shoulder buttons.

How's that? No need for a shell.

Rather than just adapting old franchises to the Rev's new control system, I'd rather see completely new ones developed specifically for it. It's the games created specifically for the DS that really excell, whereas it's ported games that do nothing special. i.e. Ridge Racer vs Nintendogs. What would you rather have?

My DS code for 42 classic games is 5026 2806 4140. Looking for people to play Rummy with. Feel free to PM your code. Also, anyone can add my Wii code if they like, PM me with yours too.

But other than Nintendo, how many are going to create specific games for the Rev? Same thing with the DS - someone throws a map in, and HEY-DANGA!! a DS game.

Game developers have had the luxury of consoles having the same basic layout for too long now (CDs - controller - etc)

I personally like the sound of the basketball-esque tech demo used to show off the controller's capabilities - tilt the controller to create small hills or indentations to alter the bounce of the ball. It'd be like a weird monkey ball, marble madness type sports game and completely original. Hope they develop this one a bit more.

"This man has advanced communist views ... He dresses in a bohemian fashion both at his office and in his leisure hours."

Of course I'd like to see lots of new franchises... but out of the existing ones I'd like to see:

Shenmue 3 - wouldn't we all? Yes its not going to happen, or at least very unlikely but on Revolution it would be perfect with the controller as you'll be able to point at what you want to examine or who you want to talk to on the screen, and I'm sure it could be used for the fighting sections as well to good effect. It could probably be played with the Revolution controller on its own, without any add-ons needed. It could be the next step forwards in the "FREE" genre. Now wouldn't that be so great?

A Panzer Dragoon game - another one from Sega, I was just thinking about this. It would just use the Revolution controller without any need for any add-ons. Make it like the original Saturn game (or Panzer Dragoon Orta on Xbox if you like), you'll be able to rotate around the dragon with the D-pad, simply point at the screen where you want to target and fire with B (or A, although with B you wouldn't have to let go of the D-pad), hold B and move the controller around the screen to lock on to targets, release to fire. Its simpicity could make it one of the best shooters ever.

Luigi's Mansion sequal - I'd make this a first person game this time, where maybe you play as yourself trying to rescue someone... I don't know, leave the story to Nintendo. The controller can "become" your torch (flashlight) and vacuum cleaner, which you must use in the exact same way as in the original except you "actually" have to shine it around the screen to see and aim the vacuum cleaner using the pointer. I think that would work well.

Mario FPS - you all laughed at this idea when it was suggested before ages ago; but I actually think its a really good idea, it would add some life into the genre - who said every FPS has to be realistic and violent? Why can't there be a comical FPS? But anyway, whether you like that idea or not, its clear that the revo controller would work well for any FPS so I'd like to see plenty of them. I think using a combination of the analogue stick, the d-pad (to look in the right direction) and the controller's light-gun (is there an official name for that yet?) would be the best system for most FPS games.

A lot of you are saying Super Monkey Ball... I don't quite get how this will work. Is the controller's tilt sensitivity both axis? if thats the case it could be used to tilt the platform, although that sounds awkward. Otherwise you'd just be left with using the analogue stick like any other SMB game... someone explain?

Personally i want all of the nintendo in house games to be released, i.e. waverace, mario, warioware, yadda yadda yaddda.... we know that these will be released but in terms of lost gems from older systems it would have to be
1) Pilotwings (if ya read the ign article you'll know what i mean)
2) Unirally (imagine the amount you tilt will affect the tilt of the unicycle) Smilie
3) Any of the lucasarts adventure games such as monkey island and grim fandago (pls i will keep on going on about this on every forum i can till lucusarts takes note. we know how close the relationship is between the companies as rouge sqaudron 2 was one of the release games on the GC. If nintendo is planning on rekindling dormant gamers this is definatly the way to go about it)
4) Rez (an amazing shooter released on the Dreamcast and PS2 but the game it self would work much better with the floaty controller)
5) Every single SNK title ever released (the machine is going to emulate the older ninty consoles why not emulate the older neogeo titles as well. SNK could easily do a deal with downloadable titles, I wouldn't mind paying up to

Pass me my hammer 'll sort out that orc!!!!

Why do you all want the same old sequels?

A revolutionary controller deserves revolutionary games, right? Otherwise the controller is just a gimmick.

Not "same old sequels" but different new sequels. Smilie

True but some games can benifit from the new controler (FPS as the main example for the REV) just as platformers benifitted from the analouge stick.

I wouldn't Mind Lylat Wars (Star Fox) and Maybe Kingdom Hearts(graphics would be soo awesome)

An Ikaruga-esque game. Control movements with the remote.

I actually want to see this game on the Revolution:

LocoRoco movie

tilt the controller to tilt the game world, A to jump, B trigger to perform a specific action like dividing.

...unfortunately it's being developed by Sony. Smilie

I mirror Beamy's comments identiaclly, game for game.... spooky.

I think that nintendo should bring out a game + accessory like Boktai(Light Sensor) on GBA

They probably won't as its an idea already thought of and used, snobby Nintendo...

You never know, they always seem to bring out new stuff first before Sony and Microsoft.

BTW what colour will the Nintendo revolution be released in? White only?

No news yet, Nintendo said they'd ask the consumer but no sign yet.

My bet is on white or black though.
