Of course I'd like to see lots of new franchises... but out of the existing ones I'd like to see:
Shenmue 3 - wouldn't we all? Yes its not going to happen, or at least very unlikely but on Revolution it would be perfect with the controller as you'll be able to point at what you want to examine or who you want to talk to on the screen, and I'm sure it could be used for the fighting sections as well to good effect. It could probably be played with the Revolution controller on its own, without any add-ons needed. It could be the next step forwards in the "FREE" genre. Now wouldn't that be so great?
A Panzer Dragoon game - another one from Sega, I was just thinking about this. It would just use the Revolution controller without any need for any add-ons. Make it like the original Saturn game (or Panzer Dragoon Orta on Xbox if you like), you'll be able to rotate around the dragon with the D-pad, simply point at the screen where you want to target and fire with B (or A, although with B you wouldn't have to let go of the D-pad), hold B and move the controller around the screen to lock on to targets, release to fire. Its simpicity could make it one of the best shooters ever.
Luigi's Mansion sequal - I'd make this a first person game this time, where maybe you play as yourself trying to rescue someone... I don't know, leave the story to Nintendo. The controller can "become" your torch (flashlight) and vacuum cleaner, which you must use in the exact same way as in the original except you "actually" have to shine it around the screen to see and aim the vacuum cleaner using the pointer. I think that would work well.
Mario FPS - you all laughed at this idea when it was suggested before ages ago; but I actually think its a really good idea, it would add some life into the genre - who said every FPS has to be realistic and violent? Why can't there be a comical FPS? But anyway, whether you like that idea or not, its clear that the revo controller would work well for any FPS so I'd like to see plenty of them. I think using a combination of the analogue stick, the d-pad (to look in the right direction) and the controller's light-gun (is there an official name for that yet?) would be the best system for most FPS games.
A lot of you are saying Super Monkey Ball... I don't quite get how this will work. Is the controller's tilt sensitivity both axis? if thats the case it could be used to tilt the platform, although that sounds awkward. Otherwise you'd just be left with using the analogue stick like any other SMB game... someone explain?
