Revolution Logo/s, looking VERY nice!

EDIT, just so people know this seems like a fake.

They look nice and real to me, so I'll put these down as official, and I must say that's the best home console logo design Nintendo have produced, IMO.

Will the actual console be named "Revolution" or is this just for E3, personally I'd suggest and hope for the former.

The 360 logo is much better than that, in my opinion. Hopefully it isn't the real thing.

Revolution is not a good final name either.

It doesn't really have any proper reason for being there either, like the X360 logo is good because it symbols the gamer being put at the centre of the system.

That's a really sleek logo, just imagine that, finalised, and silver with lighting - I love it.

If the console is named the Revolution and that is the logo (though tidied up obviously) then I'll certainly be a happy man.

Nope, but I'll be bloody surprised if these aren't used at E3 - if it's fake it's the best fake I've ever seen, the format/presentation is just pure Nintendo.

I notice that those two pages say '3' and '9' respectively. I doubt that this is anyhing but ideas being thrown against a sounding board.

As for this logo in particular, I'm not a big fan. It's just not sleek.

There was multiple confirmation sheets, the chosen logo is on page three of this - notice the tick

As for thinking it isn't sleek, for a console logo I'd say it is.

Just look at past logo's of any company, I'm certainly of the opinion this is the best looking logo gaming has seen - think how crap the 360 one is!

The 360 has a great logo. It represents the name, makes it blindingly obvious that it's from the same family as the XBox and is used throughout the console design to maintain an identity. It's a lot nicer than just having a printed on logo.

This one's just too amorphous, though. It doesn't have any easily definable shape; it's just a silver squiggle.

Oh, and I didn't notice the tick. I guess we may well see this excuse for a logo at E3...

I just love the simple complexity of the R, and that text is easily the best font any console logo has ever seen.

Sorry I'll explain........

I mean the link in your first post takes us to an article that has two pages of a (supposed) Ninty document. If you look carefully at some aspects of the document you will see that some logo's look to have been cut out and glued on the page. If the document had the logo why alter it. Why not just post the main page with the logo rather than cut it up?

I like the font it isnt bad, I dont like the R though, its got something to it that doesnt appeal me.

the 360 logo is far better.. its simple, undistracting, and it actually has something to do with the idea for the console..i.e. 360 degrees, circles etc etc..

Exactly. Not to mention its close to an eye, subconciously, and symbolises the player being at the centre of the action.

Its a very clever logo.

Lets see, Nintendo gets slated for the Gamecube because it looks like it was made by Playskool, so what do they do? Base their logo on the main feature of a toy store's logo.
