This week's final update on the Official Smash Bros. Dojo reveals a strange series of images from an unknown game mode where trophies supposedly fight...

In this world trophies fight...

They know nothing but fighting. Fighting is the sole reason for their existence

Being turned back into a trophy, being unable to fight, is much like death

Those are the rules of this world

But...

When someone...or something...breaks those rules, the world will pay a terrible price...

that is just great but i still dont understand the whole trophies fighting and that plane that kinda looks like the level from the trailer

Oooo.... doesn't this look interesting? They were talking about how they wanted to make a deeper single player, maybe its the story.
Also the graphics look very smooth. Did they update Mario's model?

What's the character in that last image? I don't recognise it...

This could be the way Nintendo gets extra Third Party characters into the game.

It does seem like they are using this just for that. I thought a new character was revealed. Why has there been no mention on site of this new character called Per- something?, I read about it on IGN, strangely they removed that article eventually. {LS]

Could just be a nice little story mode, seems the more likly option...but who knows, eh?

I can't say if i like it or not until theres some information about what it is.

Does anyone notice how similar alot of the first screens are to the introduction in SSBM???? for some reason, that gives me chills....

Hmmm... sounds/looks more like a story behind the game than a game mode or story mode... looks intriguing. Can't wait for the next update!

Its not a game mode. It's the reason why they are all fighting.

They are trying to give the series a reason for being.

When I saw this update on the site it made me all giddy. Lots of fan fiction authors thought of the trophies as fighting tools/playthings for Master Hand. I kept this belief with me as well. I'm glad to hear that it's not just supposedly about random fighting anymore; there is indeed a story behind it all! Smilie

Well you can see the pictures anf those look rendered.. tehy dont look like gameplay... and in Melee the intro aswell.... trophies glowing then being turned "ALIVE".. Smilie
So it is obvious this is the intro to the game! Smilie

Yeah they are clearly renderd, could well be, your point about the glowing trophies is a valid one, but it could be a intro for the trophy battles and not the game itself. You would think that they would hold off on releasing footage of that just now. When they do show the intro it's going to be AWESOME with the shheer amount of players it's going to contain. {LS]

Anyway, it looks like the story of SSBM being extended (trophies come to life). Something breaks the rules or whatever, and it becomes more than "you lose, you become a trophy." Bigger consequences and what not. And the story mode will be to fix that and take care of the moron who meesed it up.
Not a bad little story.

It looks like MetaKnight's ship in the background, you can fight on it in the game if my memory is treating me well. [shown in trailers, I think][LS]

I'm really wondering what that last pic is as well.. Maybe it's a sort of replacement for Master Hand?*wonders*

Would be cool if that thing in the last pic actually 'captured' Master Hand, and that in that way the rules are broken, because not all is as it once was.. lol
