Nintendo is to launch a subscription service, according to news website MCV.
Named the "N-Box", the service will allow customers to subscribe for monthly boxes containing merchandise such as toys and clothes featuring recognisable Nintendo characters and franchises such as Mario, The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon.
Subscriptions will be available on a 3-, 6-, and 12-month basis.
Nintendo have previously experimented with this kind of programme, with an amiibo-specific Loot Crate released last year, and an edition of Zavvi's Z-Box - distributed by The Hut Group, who are also in charge of the distribution of Nintendo products - expected to launch in September focused on Nintendo.
Nintendo have not yet made an official comment on this story.
