Splatoon to Release in May

Splatoon to Release in May on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Today's Nintendo Direct revealed a May 2015 release date for Splatoon, the game that puts players in the shoes of paint-shooting squids called Inklings.

Nintendo also showcased the game's central hub, a city where players can spend in-game money customising their Inkling's appearance and weapon loadout.

Splatoon is a Wii U-exclusive arena shooter with online multiplayer and singleplayer campaign modes.

So excited for this game. I was hoping for a Splatoon Amiibo, though. But who knows? May is a few months off.

Would snap up some Splatoon Amiibo right away! Love the characters. Smilie

Was expecting this sooner, but I have plenty of other games to keep me entertained till May. Easily one of my most hyped games this year.

Since it was announced it has been solidly at #1 on my anticipated game list.

I played it a few months ago but it wasn't as fun as I first thought. Hopefully things have changed since then. I think this could be great fun locally but not so fun online. 

Ill lol reserve judgement for now
