Nintendo Wins Patent Infringement Case Against Wall Wireless on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has won a patent infringement case in a U.S. District Court in Texas, the company confirmed today.

The case, first brought to light in February 2009 by Wall Wireless LLC, claimed that both the Nintendo DS and DSi consoles had infringed on a patent that the company had owned. After some deliberation, the court dismissed the case on May 19th 2014, with a similar result from the Japanese Patent Office in that Nintendo "does not infringe Wall's Japanese patents".

"Nintendo continues to develop unique and innovative products while respecting the intellectual property rights of others," said Richard Medway, Nintendo of America's vice president and deputy general counsel.

Can patent trolls have enough to knock Nintendo back a few steps?

This is good, I hope Nintendo gets a similar verdict with the lawsuit from Phillips.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
