Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U Took Six Months to Make on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

In a recent interview with Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma, he highlighted how long it took to develop The Wind Waker HD.

The Wii U release, a remake of the 2002/2003 Nintendo GameCube classic, was developed in around six months, he said in an interview with 4Gamer. Aonuma admitted that development "was still difficult" due to the differences in the original GameCube hardware and the more modern Wii U.

The widescreen, 16:9 aspect radio meant that some scenes that included characters off-screen had to be tweaked manually.

So basically they had pretty much started when they first announced it? Guess that explains the lack of additional content. Still, done a good job considering the short development time.
