Harvest Moon creators Natsume are bringing their latest project Hometown Story to this year's E3 Expo.

Confirmed via press release earlier this week, Yasuhiro Wada will be presenting the new Nintendo 3DS concept during the event this month. The story revolves around a protagonist who inherits a shop from Grandma and returns home to run it. The concept will bare some similar mechanics to Harvest Moon, but with a stronger focus towards shop management.

The shop has become run down, and no one wants to even window shop there anymore. Can you turn the shop around and even expand it, or is it destined to stay in the red forever?

Yasuhiro Wada himself will be at the helm with his studio Toybox, with compositions from famed Final Fantasy chap Nobuo Uematsu. As for character designs and art, one of the Pokémon artists Atsuko Nishida will be working on the project.

What do you think about the Hometown Story concept?
