Resident Evil: Revelations Dated on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Both Nintendo of Europe and America have set release dates for the forthcoming 3DS-exclusive, Resident Evil: Revelations.

Mutated monsters, grim boats and frozen terrain await survival horror enthusiasts in the latest chapter in the long-running Resident Evil history and the 3DS portion has been penned in for the first quarter next year, so not too long a wait!

European folk can sample the new title first, January 27 with US folk having a very minor extra few days to twiddle thumbs in anticipation with a February 7 date.

Nintendo will be handling marketing, sales with Capcom to focus on publishing.

On the subject of thumbs, Nintendo also confirmed that the game will be compatible with the 3DS Slide Pad, which adds a secondary analogue stick for more fluid movement/camera control.

Those who pre-order from GameStop can also get hold of a neat protective case with light-changing fascia!

The Box art looks great, creepy eyeball with some VERY NICE Blue coloring around it. The preorder bonus is actually nice.....provided it works PROPERLY of course. But do you actually NEED Moonlight to see the effect, & since it's dark would we be able to see it anyways?

Oh well it's a free protective case so I can't complain...sure hope the Vita gets something like this, God only knows how brittle that thing will be given how flimsy the psp was.

What have U & SirLink been up to man, been awhile since we got together on the 3DS.

I could yeah, but I wouldn't be able to play it haha. 3DS is region locked, which means I can only play games from the PAL region. I've been playing Four Swords, Star Fox 64, a bit of SML2, Gears of War 3, etc.

I'm still not sure whether I should get this or not. I freaked out more than once while playing RE4 a few months ago, so I'm not sure if I want that again. XD Just not my type of genre.

@Vorash: Lol, when I saw my name show up in your post I was like "wait, I haven't posted on this news post yet.." XD. It's pretty easy to see what I'm up to when you have a quick look at my signature or click on it to go to my Backloggery profile. But yeah, it's mostly Fire Emblem and some other stuff for me right now all while waiting for Skyward Sword and Mario Kart 7 to come out. Smilie

I was about to pre-order this but as per usual those of us unlucky enough to live in Europe get shafted. No pre-order bonus for us. Bloody typical!!!

Was quite happy when I found out we can get stuff from Gamestop over here online because they've always done nice bonuses but it's looking like we won't be getting bugger all. Bah! :-x

HEY!! You guys got Xenoblade AND Pandora's Tower so don't go complaining to us yanks because a measilly little protection case isn't NEARLY as nice as 2 great RPG's outside of Japan...count your blessings mate. Smilie
