Japanese Sales, 8th-14th November, 2010 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Media Create has released the latest Japanese software and hardware data for 8th-14th November, 2010. This week sees Square Enix score big with its new entry into the Tactics Ogre strategy role-playing series, claiming No.1 with over 175,000 sales, leaving the new Dragon Ball for PS3 to enter at No.2, whilst Super Mario Collection slips one to No.2 and Pokémon Black/White falls a place to No.4, just ahead of Konami's second DS version of Magician's Quest at No.5. Also of note is how the Wii Remote Plus controller that is bundled with Wii Sports Resort in Japan has caused the game to re-enter at No.9 and is likely to stick around for quite some time.

Check out the sales data below, as well as the hardware numbers where Wii leaps back up thanks to the Red Mario Anniversary console release:

Oooooh, two media create updates on the same day. You sure know how to spoil us. Smilie

How well did Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days do in Japan? Be interesting to know how well Re:Coded is doing in comparison. Smilie

It's doing FAR worse, mainly because it's an old mobile phone game that was bought by LOADS in Japan a year ago for a much cheaper price. 358/2 Days sold something like 550,000 units in Japan in total. If this scrapes its way to 200,000-250,000 lifetime it's not too bad at all.

I'm sad to see Kirby struggling...but despite my initial love for it, the more I play, the more it really doesn't feel like a proper Kirby (which is wasn't to start with - Fluff's Epic Yarn being a separate project from Good Feel).

wow, what a jump in sells, over a week, for the wii. O.o what helped it jump this week, and seriously lag last week? Smilie

When all is bad don't look for a easy way out. Because you wont know what to do once your out

I guess it makes sense that Re:Coded would lag a little then. I still need to pick up 358/2 Days. The repetitive, dull nature of the missions put me off it but Birth By Sleep has reinvigorated my love for KH. Smilie

I feel sorry for Golden Sun. Smilie

No problem! It'll be interesting to see if Wii can keep up such numbers in the run-up to Christmas. It's going to be a close call between PS3 and Wii in the year-to-date sales...
