Nintendo Brings More Cooking to EU on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Following the success of Cooking Guide: Can't Decide What to Eat?, Nintendo has followed the Japanese arm's lead and confirmed a second collection of recipes for Europe, going by the name of 1000 Cooking Recipes from ELLE à Table. NCL previously saw great success with both Cooking Navi and 1,000 Healthy DS Recipes, so it was no surprise the first game was converted for European tastes, and given how well that title did here, especially in the UK, this second collection comes as no major shock either.

Below are the official details from Nintendo Europe:

Are you faced with the daunting prospect of preparing a meal for your Mother-in-law? Or, do you wish to treat the special person in your life? If the idea of cooking a three course meal or even a light dinner after a long day at work leaves you seeking food inspiration then help is at hand with 1000 Cooking Recipes from ELLE à Table launching for Nintendo DS in Europe on 2nd July 2010.

Nintendo has partnered with luxury lifestyle magazine, ELLE à Table to bring you software packed with delicious recipe suggestions for every dining occasion, enabling you to impress friends and family with your cooking skills and creativity. There is a guide to creating the perfect three course menu for that forthcoming occasion and nutritional information for each dish. The game comes fully loaded with over a 1,000 recipes with step by step instructions for every meal.

To help you finish your meal off in style and really impress your in-laws, Master of Wine Jancis Robinson and John Farrand, Guild of Fine Food, have provided bespoke cheese and wine guides with pairing suggestions for hundreds of wines and cheeses. No matter what you have in the fridge or the cupboard, there are dish recommendations for different ingredients, country or season to suit every skill and taste. Depending on the time of year there are even un-lockable recipes on special dates such as Fathers Day and New Years Eve.

The game comes with built in voice recognition for hands-free navigation leaving you free to get creative in the kitchen without the fear of spilling anything on your console. You’ll also be able to register any new recipes you create in your own virtual recipe book and with the Nintendo DSi you can also take advantage of the camera feature that allows you to attach a picture to your new masterpiece. You can then share these with friends and family who also have the software via Nintendo DS Wireless Communications.

So get ready to become a culinary master on 2nd July when 1000 Cooking Recipes from ELLE à Table comes to Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi.

Did you experience any problems with the first game, and is this new collection something that catches your eye?
