The game looks so great.
Oh and there is also a 'Starfox 2' page as well.
The US release, it says, is 14/2/05.

Can't they just kill the on-foot part???
I agree, that killed Rebel Strike for good...for other screens go here
Videos and all.
I just got Starfox Assault today and it rocks! My only annoyances with the game are Fox's overly chatty partners. I'm always like, "STFU, I heard you the first 200 times!" Other than that, it's pretty good.
lol, i dunno my excitement dissapeared after the not so raving reviews
I dunno Howzy, maybe I'm more impressed since I missed the Nintendo 64 version (and the N64 all together). It's pretty fun, though the ground battle missions aren't as cool as the Airwing missions.
If I haven't played it, it's new to me!
Have you tried multiplayer yet? Just wondering because that wasn't supposed to be the best.
hmmmm, with i like "Lylat Wars 64" it was a REALLY good game(to me anyway) an i think this would let me down, i dunno
i can just imagine the voices pissing me off.

i just want to kill slippy
I don't think there is anyone that actually likes that slippery green fuck. I mean they were all pretty annoying in Lylat Wars, even Falco got a little annoying. Trademark of Star Fox I guess, but I am against Krystal stealing Peppy's place, bloody women.
best thing in Lylat Wars was to let the useless toad to get shot on 1st level, funny listening to his crys of help while i ignored him.
couldn't feel sorry for him either when he sat the next mission out, saved me the hassle of having to save him AGAIN
I never played the original or the 64 but this game looks fun!
I don't see why people finding the characters like slippy annoying is a big thing - they've always been nippy - come to think of it I'm sure I used to shoot the fuckers down on the original most of the time
Anyway I'll be getting this, and sending IGN a choice letter asking them to please become a respectable and intelligent source (like Famitsu) and ask them to stop letting the 1000 monekys type reviews!
I just don't get it.... IGN is entitled to their own opinion.. maybe japanese like games a certain way and the folks at ign likes it a certain way.. they sure gave metroid a good review.. didn't see you writing them a "choice" letter praising them..
No, i didn't because i don't read their reviews just watch the movies!
Unfortunatly, the DS is nicking all my cash for the next 3 weeks. So Power Tennis and Assult will have to wait...
I don't actually find Slippy that annoying. Peppy's worse, glad they got rid of him (well, as an arwing pilot anyway). However, Krystal's a cow though, you've just got to watch what a stroppy bitch she is at the end of Starfox Adventures!

A good game is a good game.
IGN should be professional enough to review it fairly as a game, not as a genre/style they don't like.
It's still a good point though tnsai - and the reason why I don't trust them/think they are crap. They rave on about Halo like it's the best FPS ever, when it honestly is not (yes it is good though, to avoid people jumping to the wrong conclusion as to what I'm saying), then anything that doesn't have gratuitous violence (aka 'mature') instantly seems to be downgraded.
I think they are that unreliable that they gave Halo 2 a better score than Half Life 2 - and if memory serves me correctly and that was right then it's one of the biggest crimes gaming has ever seen. Halo 2 could only dream of being as good as HL2!
you see i don't think the score is a general for all gaming consoles score.. i would say that the score is reflective of the best game on a pc , the best game on a xbo type of thing
Everytime a Nintendo game that was supposed to be amazing and that's had loads of hype turns out to be just good, some of you guys get in a right huff. Just chill out, Nintendo games (and licenses) aren't always superb, accept it.

So good but not amazing. Will give it a miss I think, unless when I play it it's really great. See if GameCube had proper online right now this game would be made much better, it could be great online as a party game.
what's lylat wars that you guys are talking about?
What you say in the first part is right enough Chris but for all the afformentioned games you'll be referring to they were worth more than they got (MP2 as a classic example), but here's some justification. IGN themselves (I think it was, maybe gamespot) did a preview themselves not that long ago (few weeks back) and hyped it. I honestly can't see why a preview can be so great then it all fall apart for the review.
However making it an online party game (laughs at the ironic contradiction) - in a world of bad ideas, IMO that's a really bad idea.
Why? It means people would play with other real people all the time, whenever, instead of just against the AI.
I know IGN suck sometimes. They're only really good for videos. They always hype stuff up and then at the review point say what they actually think of it.
ign is pretty much good for videos as chris has said.
However, their reviews are pititful. I don't trust their reviews one bit.
But people can play against people - it has multiplayer
