Got 7/10 on IGN. Not supposed to be anything special unfortunately.
I also cant wait fr starfox assualt for GC it looks amazing, have seen tons of clips on IGN and god it looks amazing
I have seen in-game footage of it. Multiplayer mode looks very dull, where are the bots?
Furthermore: the acting sucks, the voices suck, although not all of them fortunately. And the sound of the laser really...sucks...the most!
I will probably rent it or somin coz SF games are really short
I have, it seems rather average
SPOILER: you play dinosaur planet in the game.
END OF SPOILER
i was really looking forward to this game.
Wow. That spoiler warning really helped me to avoid reading about the fact that you play Dinosaur Planet in the game.
There doesn't seem to be a great deal of hype about this game. I guess it's adventure's fault...
I was watching some trilers on Gamespot and I think it looks pretty good. I didn't like Adventures, but loved Lylat
Wars. It has mixed reviews though, Gamespot gave it 7.4 or something in that region, but NOM this month (in their 150th issue!) predict it to be 85%+.
I'll be getting it.
Yes, me too regardless of any oter lower reviews.
7.3 on Gamespot. One to pick up cheap/2nd hand imo.

It never really looked that good to be honest, just never seemed as if it had the same Lylat Wars feel, which was immense. I'm sure it will be fun, but I doubt it will outdo Rogue Leader. One for the fans I imagine, so that includes me!
but NOM this month (in their 150th issue!) predict it to be 85%+.
Two key things their, "NOM" and "predict". NOM is really biased, even more so than the other official mags, and of course they're going to hype the game up, it's supposed to be one of this year's GC biggies.
I would never put too much stock in reviews from single format mags as it's in their interests to rate game s highly. When games are highly scored it creates a buzz around a system, which in turn helps sell the magazine. Multi-format mags like gtm and Edge have all formats to fall back on so can score games more honstly. Just look at CUBE backtracking on scores that were too high for proof. SFA 9.6! for example. Or Paris Dakar 2 79%. Believe me, I picked it up for
Who cares what GameSpot and the rest think.
I've already decided this is the best game of the year and even if it's not it still is
I'm getting it and it'll be good
Yeah, I'm a Starfox fan and I'll be getting it and reviewing it
The pressure is on though - there is a general agreement that it ain't even close to Metroid or Resi 4 in quality, which I agree with - there's no spark like there was with Starwing or Lylat Wars, but the fact that they're nice enough to give us another Starfox is good. If it sucks, it sucks. if it impresses, it impresses. Expect an interesting review hopefully.
The return of Starwolf sounds great: "Annoying bird, I am the great Leon!"
{Guild}Ohmdal: But how did you get the poo inside of the box when the goat was sleeping on top of it?
{Guild}Ohmdal: oops wrong chat
Well, I absolutley LOOOOOOOOVED SFA. I would've given it around a 9.5, so I'm assuming that this would be similar.
Me too, I thought SFA was a great game, and even if it was just Star Fox thrown in, it was still damn good in my mind.
I never did get why Star Wolf was called Leon though, I mean wasn't Wolf a cool enough name? Well he is a wanker anyway I guess.

Maybe thats because it is an official magazine. NOM are only for Nintendo gamers, therefore they will mark/review it for the audiences tastes.
Obviously, a multi-format is going to review it to everyone's appeal.
