Sonic the Hedgehog Anniversary Teased

I'm guessing we'll get Mega Collection HD...or maybe they are reworking Sonic 1 into a 3D game.

It would be nice to have Sonic 3 and Knuckles on the Apple App Store to complete my collection.

At the same time it would be great to have a compilation collection for my 3DS.

i don't really trust Sonic team to make anything decent anymore and Big Red button have evidently failed to do anything, so perhaps we shouldn't really hope for anything too special!

Does anyone here have an interest in Sonic still? There was a phase were the games started to get better again with titles like Unleashed (the day time sections were fun!), Colours, Rush, Generations and then it started to go downhill again a bit with Lost World and then took a massive dive and hit rock bottom with Sonic Boom.

I am definitely starting to lose interest now, personally. I hope they can do something special for the 25th anniversary, but my expectations are very low. I'm not sure what I'd actually want, I guess a Sonic Mega Collection HD would be kind of cool.

For starters, they can give Sonic 3&K the remaster treatment they gave Sonic 1 and 2 and put them all on consoles instead of just bloody smartphones. Absolute joke.

A Generations 2 would be nice. Can't be doing with Sonic's other shite these days.

Generations 2 would be welcome. Generations was, to me, amazing and one of my fave games of last gen. That's how I think Sonic games should be done now. A HD Mega Collection would be a nice extra also.

They just need to stop with the experimentation. Lost World and Boom are both awful. Stick with what works.

(Full) HD remakes of S1,2&K in one package, or Generations style side-scrolling remakes (though wasn't too happy with that engine). Would buy.

Unfortunately I only sense dissappointment. 

Id say I care about Sonic. It's a massive part of gaming history and perhaps really only ever good in the 90's. 

They can see how people LOVE the classics, advance games, Colours and Generations. Why can't they just stick with these formulas?  WHY? It works wonders for Nintendo.
