It just came to my mind: If microsoft does buy nintendo(Which at this moment looks like it'll never happen), would rare also start supporting nintendo again with their games? We could get every game that we loved back with us. But don't listen to my opinion. I want to know yours.

No. my reasoning: if microsoft bought nintendo, it'd cause a rip in the time and space continuim, making us live on Jupiter, along withthe dinosaurs and the Jetsons. After 5 minutes of choas, the universe would not be able to except this and would then shatter. It makes perfect sense. Smilie

Hey Linkman, this is in the wrong forum.

Anyway, no, RARE wouldn't start making games for Nintendo, because Microsoft would have bought Nintendo outright. That means that Nintendo would be at a developer status, the same as RARE, meaning that all their games and products would go through with a Microsoft label on them. A scary thought, but on the other hand, because Nintendo are making the DS ATM, I think RARE would have to consider making games for it because Microsoft would have bought the system as well.

OK so this was a bad topic. No need to have an attitude frazzle. Now lets forget this thread ever happened. Smilie

I didn't mean to sound offensive or anything Linkman. There's no need to abandon the topic because it got replies and people discussing the question Smilie

No problem! Smilie

If Mircosoft bought Nintendo, it would be the end of gaming. No more revolutionary stuff, just the same old thing. Mircosoft and Sony will just keep on packaging their console with more features and better graphics and games will have little gameplay....... Thank god we still have Nintendo.

if microsoft bought nintendo, M$ would own all of Nintendo's trademarks. They would be M$ trademarks. So if M$ gave Rare permission to use Mario or Donkey Kong, or whatever, they could Smilie

Now that i think about it. Mircosoft would probaly make Mario into this really cool dude that dosen't resemble anything like the Nintendo Mario and the whole plumber thing will be gone. Even Nintendo famous franchises could be totally destroyed. Rare ain't what they use to be. Most of them left and the "most" were the quality guys who made the really good games. So if they did have the chance to make a Mario game... who knows.
