Animal Crossing Letters

I've had AC a few days and I'm loving it!!!

Anyway, when I write people letters they have no clue what i'm talking about and just say 'er yeah, what was that about!!!!????'

Does anyone else have this problem or can I just not write?

does no one else have this problem?

Yeah I get the same problem mate, I think you need to be careful with the language. Make sure you don't use any non-american phrases as well.

I've give up on writing to my villagers at the moment.

How many villagers have you got now

I think about 7 or 8. I started another town on another memory card to see what the travelling thing was like. I did Tom Nook's jobs then haven't visited the town again and there are nine villagers there and more keep arriving.

Some have even moved out of my place into the other town even though I haven't played it.

Have you caught many insects?
I keep getting the same four over and over and there are loads to get in total.

I haven't really bothered collecting any insects yet, i can only find they ones when i shake trees (don't know what there called but are worth 100 bells).

My house got upgraded again now got a basement had the choice between a basement or increasing room size.

Nook has just upgraded his shop for the second time, don't know what it's called yet.

Have any of your villagers left yet?

I've only got 5 villagers left now and I'm really nice to them. The other village that i never play has 10 villagers!!!!

Something strange is going on here!?!?

Has anyone got any insect collevting tips, I can only find Ladybirds and Butterflies.

Okay Peletboy, make sure you talk to your villagers regularly (second option when you first start talking to them).

Out of interest, have you visited Krystal recently? If she predicts something bad it tends to be related to how villagers act towards you.

In terms of letters, here are a few tips;

. Don't have words spanning more than one line, ie, at the end of a line, make sure you DON'T start a word and finish it on the next line. Every line must have full words.

. Inlcude the villagers favourite saying in your letter.

. Use good language, but don't be too ambitious. A villager is unlikely to know what 'cognitive' means.

. Try and attach a present, although I have noticed that my villagers only return the favour if I send them clothes. If you send them furniture, you will only get a letter back.

I hope this helps you a bit. If not, your 'Feng Shui' must be pretty low.
