Harvest Moon help?

Hey guys!
I've just started playing harvest moon after a friend suggested it.

Im not doing to bad, been a year and i got largest house, fridge, shelves, 10k in gold some chikens and my horse and dog both have 6 hearts.

So i thought i best try to get a bird! had a quick look on the net and decieded i would go for Ann. Thing is i cant get the black heart to change. I go to the inn at the right time and instead of her asking ME do I like cleaning, she jsut talks about how she likes cleaning..no questions..

ANy help guys? what my doing wrong? i've tried it at the times suggested and nothing?

What system do you have it on? (GBA?). PM me if it is GBA, GC, or N64.

Wait? Why does your horse have 6 hearts? GM crops?

Try popuri, she likes eggs and honey, alternate what you give her EVERY DAY and in a year or so you should be doing quite well. Then when you marry her apparently she helps on the farm!
