I'll start:

Rogue Squadron Trilogy.
HD remakes of Rogue Squadron (N64/PC), Rogue Leader (GCN) and Rogue Squadron: Rebel Strike (GCN). The first two were really awesome games, among the best Star Wars games. But not too many played them and they're not available on the VC or anything.
So remake them with updated graphics, online+offline coop, achievements, new missions, new secrets. Maybe an all new online deathmatch mode?
Oh and I can really see that Panorama View that Nintendo presented at E3 work here. Imagine 1 player flying around in an Snow Speeder while a 2nd player grabs the Upad to look around the ship. Or control the 2nd gun to shoot enemy ships! So much possibilities.

What games do you want to see for Wii U?

New Star Fox
Definitely, definitely want this on Wii U. Co-operative offline and online play, traditional levels (akin to S64/LL). Upgrades/experience points perhaps. Tonnes more planets, different playable characters with varying attributes.

Zelda: Majora's Mask remake
Really gotten into this again recently, would be great on Wii U. Perhaps add bonus dungeons, few more side quests and decent cinematics. Shorter and sweeter to remake than other Zeldas methinks.

A separate four-player co-operative would actually be amazing. Split-screen? Each player takes on a form of Link and would have to solve puzzles, can be CPU controlled possibly. Think Four-Swords but with puzzles and combat that require each of the forms. Boom!

Pokémon Stadium/Snap hybrid
Would love an all-inclusive Pokémon package. Doubt Nintendo/GameFreak would do a full on 3D RPG, but another solid battle game, with loads of mini-games, online play and a separate Pokémon Snap feature would be ace.

Mario Kart U
Nintendo would be insane, absolutely insane not to release one so we know it's coming. But I'd like to see them really delve into fan-service and have at least 16 cups - 8 retro, 8 new, instead of the usual 4 new/4 old. There's so many Mario Kart titles now, so it's really needed!

The same great online play as in MK7, leaderboards, track editor. Money made!

Mega Man HD Anniversary
Hand drawn anthology of all the classic Mega Man games, redone musically/graphics in specatcular HD 2D. Nuff said. I'd be a Hard Man.

Soul Calibur V: Director's Cut
They took a huge dump over Soul Calibur with this one. Really disliked the roster, so if the Wii U got a port with more of the classic characters brought back (through the magic of resurrection), it would be fab.

Bring back the Yungsung/Hwang character type.

Not sure what you can really do with the Gamepad except some shortcut keys and a command list, though it would be useful!

Mario Party Anniversary
Though I haven't played MP9 yet, I dislike the concept. Bring back the tried-and-tested approach in an all-out anniversary edition. Would be amazing to have the best boards brought back (at least 30 in all), with a unified system (3 items per player, shops, duels/battle games) and the top mini-games from each (at least 150 mini games?). We're a generation ahead so it really has to go beyond 5/6 boards and a limited set of mini games. Now that Nintendo are handling it, possibly.

Spectator and online mode would be so good, but I honestly can't see it happening.

Art Academy U
I would be very surprised if Nintendo don't make this. Bring art to the living room, properly! THQ's efforts were average at best, and the U could do so much better. More tools, full HD rendering, share with U buddies, public (moderated) galleries, specator mode (see what friends are drawing), share replays. Export to JPG/BMP (come on!) and share on social networks.

Rival Schools 3
Brilliant Capcom fighting series that just died off with the Dreamcast. Only a few cameos here and there. Would be great to include full animé cinematics, hand-drawn characters and a solid online mode.

Dead or Alive
Why no Wii U? Hinted but still not official. The 3DS one was great, preferred it over Street Fighter as it's faster, more fluid and combos work far better. Online, full roster, great visuals. Easy!

Mario Galaxy 1&2 HD
Easy remake, buff up those textures and just pump out the love. Nintendo would insist on some tablet features. Maybe some touch-screen puzzles and enhancements. Might be tricky to perform the spin though (shaking the pad is good, but still fine to do from what I've tried).

Mario Tennis U
3DS one seemed like a right cop-out. Wii U one needs more than just basic tennis modes - a decent RPG campaign/Tennis town to wander about in, online play/tournaments and challenges. Spectator modes, tennis "ghosts" etc.

Final Fantasy VII
Can't see it happening somehow, but would be so good. Infact any FF for that matter would be ace - touch screen commands, map, etc. Dream setup!

Chrono Trigger Remake
No description needed. Even if 2D with hand-drawn sprites and painted backgrounds, count me in!

Sonic Adventure 3
Revised engine like Unleashed/Colours, with same great story mechanics and additional characters in Sonic Adventure. Online leaderboards/races would be wicked too.

Conduit 3/High Voltage shooter
They did really well on Wii from the tech they had available, so a follow-up or a new shooter completely would be awesome to see given the boost in specs. Touch control features, online play. Sweet stuff. Maybe hard to do traditional control and Wii Remote though, so the GamePad may just turn into a side accessory/computer thing.

Phoenix Wright Anniversary
First three games remade in HD, plus additional cases non-related to the main arc. Download perhaps?

Jump Ultimate All Stars U
Bung in all those favourite Jump manga stars into an HD brawler and you've sold the entire animé community. Make it so!

Grand Theft Auto V
A system seller I'm sure, but I doubt it somehow until Nintendo proove it viable. Dynamic map, online play, DLC missions. Rear view mirror? Sweet!

F-Zero
Why no Wii? Nintendo doesn't need to do hugely revolutionary things to make a decent game. Series really needs to be resurrected on Wii U - online play, tonnes of racers, jaw-breaking visuals and cheesy story. Do it!

Game Creator
Coders! Artists! Story writers! This would be the perfect tool to do so, even if released as some homebrew, would be awesome. Use Mii as characters? Building blocks to making simple games, depth to go further and learn coding fundamentals. Nintendo would create both educational/fun and add that bit more to a tricky industry to get into.

Marvel vs Capcom
My two favourites in one place? Wii got neglected, so Wii U must be possible. MvsC 4 or some expanded version of 3 would be ace. Some create-your-own-hero on the touch pad would be a neat exclusive feature.

Wave Race HD
Another that needs to return in full - spectacular scenery, online racers, course creator. Wii U GamePad with dynamic map showing buoy positions/shortcuts. Leaderboards and the like.

New Metroid game to make up for the damage caused by other m (so nothing resembling it at all)

Really hoping for something amazing from Retro Studios, I think if given permission they could do a truly astonishing Zelda, but a new Prime before that would be awesome. Beyond Good and Evil 2, using the Gamepad as Jade's camera, Jet Set Radio, with the ability to actually draw your own tags. And as for Mario, how about a Galaxy style game where he occasionaly 'leaps' into the Gamepad and it plays out like an Old Skool NES Mario tite, only instead of a flag pole at the end of each stage there's a cannon that 'shoots him' back into the TV, and back into the modern style gameplay.
Just a few ideas.

-GTA V
-More Mario platform games
-Donkey Kong Country U (super DK world has a nice ring to it)
-Zelda games
-Secret of Mana/Chrono trigger sequels.

I'd love to see a realistic Zelda that really indulges in the darker side of the Zelda universe. With Nintendo moving into the HD era it could be the best time to do it. Especially considering I still kind of doubt they'll push for more shocking/mature franchises from third parties (even GTA, I wonder how much they care) - can only really see something like what I'm picturing if it's handed over to Retro or somebody to be honest. But, it would be killer. Follow it up with Wind Waker HD 2, and everyone is golden. Smilie

A 3D successor to DK: Country and Donkey Kong 64 would be rather interesting. I remember being intrigued at the possibility of a 3D version of Country when I was a kid. The 64 game was great, but definitely fell short of the mark in terms of the beautiful visuals we got from the country series. Again, in HD, it could be awesome.

Extreme G Wii U - loved those games on the 64, it's not exactly Wipeout or F-Zero, not sure if there's quite the same market for it, but the 14 year old inner me would love it. Smilie

Thread title could also be: what Nintendo should have announced at E3?

Tom Barry [ Reviewer - Editor - Resident Sim-Racer @ Cubed3.com ]

I decided to make the thread when I thought of some less-than-logic game ideas. Or games that we probably won't see, like Rare games.

What I'd love but I don't know if I'd pay full price for is sequels to 1080°, WaveRace and ExciteBike. Possibly combined in 1 package, or downloadable smaller games.

Eternal Darkness 2.

My Virtual Garden: a casual game where you can grow your own garden, raise land, place rocks, dig ponds, etc. Maybe throw in some (scaled down) dinosaurs or other fanfavorite creatures and add a tower defense element to it?

Metroid anything.

Like the Zelda suggestion, Strat. I always come back to the recent twisted Alice games as to how I want the next Zelda - dark, gothic, steampunk, sick in the head. Handled by Retro, perhaps, and taking inspiration from Majora. Then absolutely a new Celda.

After that, it's the obvious Star Fox, F-Zero, Mario Kart and Metroid FPS for me.

Cockpit view and steering with GamePad for Star Fox, plus long online multiplayer missions. Have four players start at certain points of the level, on their own set paths, then meet up later on in the stage to confront the boss.

Agree on Jorge's idea for Mario Kart - a shitload of cups and tracks. We still need the proper battle mode back, where once you lose all your balloons, you're out - no coming back. And for crying out loud, an adventure mode, please. Just play Diddy Kong Racing and Crash Team Racing for all the evidence you need that this should happen.

Then for this and F-Zero, too, in-depth track editor and customisation of karts/vehicles. Proper setting up of online matches (MK7 was terrible).

Metroid just speaks for itself. Scanning on the GamePad could be a decent addition, but just expand on what's been done with the three Primes, really. Let us fight Kraid and Crocomire, and maybe even Mother Brain. I'm sure they can worm a resurrection of her into the story - they did with Ridley. 2D Metroid is likely gonna be a 3DS job.

For Donkey Kong, perhaps DK Returns 2 with Dixie Kong. Would like to see where a new 3D DK could go, too, though.

Second the Eternal Darkness sequel.

Earthbound 3D (never gonna happen).

Even though I hope Retro's working on F-Zero, I wouldn't mind Strat's suggestion of Extreme G. The first one on N64 was really fun, and the third on GC was highly underrated. I still prefer F-Zero, but the bike alternative held its own admirably. Sadly though, I don't think it'll ever get made. Acclaim isn't a company anymore.

Anyone remember Geist on the Gamecube? I thought that was pretty cool game. It probably feels a little dated now, so I'd like to see it brought into the modern day. It was pretty clever and had a good atmosphere.
I might go revisit it now, actually. Haven't played it in yonks.

I'd love to see Eternal Dakness II and F-Zero come back, too, like some others have said. They're just so, so good.

Did you see that they're re-releasing Final Fantasy VII on the PC?

Ah yeah, Endless Ocean 3!! It sounds like a perfect match with the Wii U: gorgeous graphics, looking around with the Upad, integration with the Internet...

Oh yes! I loved that game at the time. It definitely had a great atmosphere to it. I really liked the mechanics of being a ghost and switching bodies, and the scaring people was always fun.

I haven't played it since the GC though... I think you may have just inspired me to check it out again as well. A sequel of sorts could turn out quite good, I think. Smilie

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.

Would like to see some steam punk styles.
