the only bad thing about rare leaving is that they are making a conkers bad fur day 2 on the xbox and conkers bad fur day was cool

well the last game was shit so? but I never be a fan of them

I kinda think that Rare is screwing MS up, they havent' released any good games yet. (Grabbed by the Ghouls was a rip of Luigi's Mansion) They are taking a hell of a long time to make these games! I think Rare lost their touch

No, I don't think they would've stayed good. However SFA was a good game, I don't know why everyone hated it

Don't think it's who they're working/worked for, it's they guys and gals behind the development team - I think some of their best people left for other teams, or other career paths in the industry. Still, they've got some good projects, just take a while to release them I suppose.

Rare had touch? Smilie

I wasn't too sad to see them go, they released a few good games on the 64 (Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and a few others) But when it came to the next gen their quality... fell behind. I saw some pictures of the new perfect dark that had a sort of Anime feel to them which would kinda mess it up anyway, it also said that it was comming to the Xbox 2, not the Xbox even though they've been workin on it for ages. But yeah, weather it was a good purchase by Microsoft is yet to be seen. With their current work it was defiently a good sell by Nintendo.

Arkyris.

As long as the GBA content it keeps churning out is as high as it has so far been then I'm more than happy. Plus there's the rumour that it'll be working on Halo for the GBA...

Yea i remembered in an article that when they left that alot of people went to other developers that had ex-Rare memebers such as free radical and zoonami. Too me they had touch. Games that made me happy, game that my friends played for hours... its was all good. Smilie

Free Radical
Zoonami
Bits Corp
Microsoft

I don't know if Rare members went to any other companies...? I think some went to a big name company, but can't remember...

Whats Bits Corp? Never heard of it. Some joined Nintendo from what i can remeber.

They did Rogue Ops and the GC Die Hard game. They've not done anything impressive so far...It's a case of 'got potential, not used it' at the moment.

about a year late pal.

It's the thought that counts and I loved SFA and was sad to see RARE go, and hope they make more GBA games, and these said games are actually played and sell!

Rare haven't lost their touch, they're still good - thats why its terrible that they're with micro$oft. Sabre Wulf and Banjo-Kazooie Grunty's Revenge on GBA are excelent (go buy them) - and so is Starfox Adventures. Grabbed by the Ghoulies isn't their best but its the best game on xbox.
