The only Sonic games I've enjoyed and continue to go back to are the Mega Drive ones (1,2,3 and Knuckles) - each introducing something new and a classic in their own right. Top stuff! Smilie

For me Sonic 2 has the nostalgia value attached to it, as it was the first game I ever played.

But Sonic 3 And Knuckles is probably the pinnacle of the series.

I must say that all of the Megadrive games were fantastic in their own ways but my favourite standalone game is Sonic 2. Sonic 3 with Knuckles is mighty fine as well.

Don't think I could ever choose I love 'all' of them in there own ways, and I go back to most of them in equal measures. Smilie

Every Sonic game has something different and special about it - something new that no other Sonic game has that makes you go "wow" - even if like me, you never played the older Sonic games until fairly recently, your incredably impressed because theres always a suprise around the corner thats like nothing else. Thats what makes it such a great series.

It also makes it so hard to pick out a favorite, but if I had to choose, I guess probably out of the 2D games Sonic 3 - but I change my mind every day.

The Megadrive wasn't to crap, Sonic and Knuckles was too good for any console at that time.
