Was hoping for a dispatch today since usually they dispatch it very soon after charging you.. but ah well, should be sent tomorrow if it's been processing all day.

Yeah the reviews have been pretty bad. I'm not sure if I should wait for a price drop to get it.
Reviews are all over the place atm O.o
Although some of the complaints in the lower reviews are a bit pathetic really. Ah well I'm enjoying it majorly

Resident Evil 6 is not even that bad.
To be honest when I first saw all the reviews I went in with low expectations, 'oh no, Capcom have lost it', but to be honest I'm not totally sure what people are complaining about. Sure it's a bit of a clusterfuck of genres but wasn't that the intention? It's no RE4 but it's creepier and more interesting than RE5, more puzzles too. Some puzzles are bad and there really are too many QTEs.. most of which are uninspired and not very good, but I've played many worse QTE!
Then again I'm only on Leon's story, maybe Leon's story is just the best out of the four by far or something!
If the game continues at this quality I'd probably give it an 8.
I played for about an hour and had to turn it off. I don't even want to turn it on to play, but kinda have to since it's a review copy. It just feels. Bad.
I've got to play some more and let it sink in a bit. Doesn't really feel like resi, especially compared to Revelations.
I'll hold off on further comments until I've played more, but I've got dishonored sat here ripping through my free time.
I thought the opening was very bad, the bit with Leon carrying around an injured Helena, but after getting like a chapter or so in it started to feel more constant to me.
However a major flaw I think the game has is that it relies on CoOp so much! To the point where I can't help but think it'd probably feel almost.. empty and boring in single player, I just don't really understand how it'd work well in single player. It also suffers a lot from linearity, you're very much on a set path almost all the time.
Then again yeah I have yet to try any scenario besides Leon's.
Ive been playing for last few days now but only mercenaries mode... And I'm shocked by Capcom and producers of this game to what they have done to RE franchise...! This game is not RE its some weird mix of Lonely Planet and mixed with zombies (not even proper Zomibies) ... I thought RE5 was too much of a long step from RE4 but this feels like its in a different dimension...! So far im not liking it, I feel like I've been ripped off!
Also with Skills customizations WTF is that about I'm not playing with a robot...!!
But the biggest problem with RE6 is ....... Resident Evil 4 and Shinji Mikami seriously that game was the pinnacle because the standard and quality and gameplay of that game was at such a high and stellar level its gonna be really hard for future RE games to match that quality!
I've played about an hour of it and turned it off. I'm not impressed with it. After playing revelation (which was brilliant) I thought they'd got back on track and started making good Resident Evil games again. I'll give it more play time, but it just feels like a trudge and one annoying quick time event after another.
And it's too bloody dark! I get that they want zombies jumping out of the dark at you but I'd like to be able to see where I'm going too! I have the brightness turned up to the max in the game.
I have to review this. Im really not bothered because it can't hold my attention for more than 20 mins at a time.
Corridor. Cutscene. QTE, QTE. Cutscene. Zombies. QTE. Cutscene. Corridor. Train corridor. QTE, QTE.
Arrrggghhh!!! Who was the idiot that decided to make this game so dark.... Jebus creeper!! Initially I thought it was my telly but they're trying to scare you but it's just unplayable coz you cant see anything at all so I had to put brightness to 11(max)!!!
I've only been playing Leon's story so far and only one word to describe it is WTF!!! They've tried to copy Resi4 when theyre in the cabin and you have to shoot as many zombies not let them get inside or the rail track underground dodging obstacles with qte! So far im not impressed should of waited til the price came down and bought it for cheap! But unfortunately my inner fanboy got the better of me!!!!
I will give a full review when I manage to finish the game with all 6 characters! But so far and as many you know first impressions count and my first impressions on this game aren't great! Im not saying its a horrible game coz if you've never played Resi game this is definitely playable and you might enjoy it but if you're lucky enough to have played Resi4 then you won't be impressed by this!!!
Thats just my few pence on this!!!
I'll definitely agree that it's far too dark, making a scary game darker doesn't necessary = atmosphere or scariness! It just makes it too bloody hard to see and that impedes gameplay, it's times like these you let the sake of gameplay take importance over realism thank you, and it's not like RE has ever had to be realistic.
And.. I actually haven't touched RE6 since Pokémon came out and I can't say I'm in a rush to get back to it? I was never the biggest RE fan but..
About the game being too dark, does changing the brightness help at all? I mean I haven't really struggled with not being able to see but you'd think that'd sort out the problem.

So, Resident Evil HD announced for PS4, PS3, XBO, X360 and PC.
No Wii U.
Grabbed from Gematsu:
Due out digitally in North America and Europe in early 2015, the game is a remastered version of the 2002 GameCube version of Resident Evil, which featured new visuals, gameplay elements, environments, and story details from the 1996 PSone release. The current-gen versions of the game will offer 1080p graphics, while previous gen offers 720p, and run at 30 frames per second across all consoles. The game will feature 5.1 surround sound support, both 4:3 and 16:9 play ratios, and different control schemes. The classic control scheme remains for fans who want to play in the original style, while the alternative control scheme, where the character moves directly in the direction of the analogue stick, is also available.
Thoughts?
First things first, no Wii U is very sad. I can understand why companies skip this system, but after REmake on GC, this just feels so wrong. Very unfortunate.
Aside from that, I'm very happy at this news. I'm happy because REmake was long overdue to be ported to other systems anyway. I've seen a lot of people calling for REmake to get a straight port to digital only on PS3 and 360, and yet they've gone one better here by doing a total remaster and releasing on PC, PS4 and XBO too. It's great that people who missed out on a GC back in the day can finally play this remaster now.
And despite what some might say - a remaster of a REmake, is it necessary? In this instance, I'm all for it. I adore CG pre-rendered backgrounds, and firmly believe we need games that bring them back in all their beautiful glory. I long for games in the FF PS1 style to be brought back. An FF9 remaster of sorts would be utterly wonderful. So I'm very glad at this move to not turn REmake into an actual 3D remake like in the style of RE5/6, but instead remains completely true to its original form, simply remastered.
This is definitely gonna please a lot of RE fans. RE1 was scary as shit. I really hope they can do the same for RE Zero afterwards. I hope there are still no license agreements with Nintendo holding that back because it deserves a hell of a lot more of a fan base.
Perhaps if this is successful we can also get a true RE2make!
