Dunne also revealed the game eventually released as Banjo Pilot on Game Boy Advance was originally going to be Donkey Kong Pilot and was actually completed. But once Rare was sold to Microsoft, they couldn't use the Donkey Kong license and that become Banjo.

That's no revelation to me, I still have an old magazine at home from back in the days showing screenshots of the DK branded version of the game. If I recall correctly, it was supposed to be "Diddy Kong Pilot", not "Donkey Kong Pilot".

Yeah, I think most people knew that one. Pretty sure it's probably a mistake on his part calling it "Donkey Kong Pilot". Doubt it would have started as Donkey before becoming Diddy. Think I'll add an edit in about that.

Rare is no more and has been like that since they were sold to Microsoft. Grabbed by the Ghoulies was supposed to be their "Nintendo Killer". So was Kameo. And Perfect Dark Zero. Oh, and Viva Piñata! They should realize that only one that can kill Nintendo is Nintendo itself.
