The game is apparently going to be called Super Smash Bros. Universe. Wii U... kinda obvious if you ask me.

I hope that Universe implies there'll be a better online component.

I'll have to agree with jb on this one-- maybe some more lady characters and less clones. There's nothing wrong from having characters from the same series, but giving them practically the same moves? Like Toon Link and Twilight Princess Link even have the same smash attack. The only real differences is how their moves hit the player-- like toon Link's spin will just suck you in, while TP Link knocks you back.

One of my greatest disappointments with Brawl was that even though they updated the characters models (like instead of OoT Ganondorf, they had the TP Model), they kept him with a silly mimic of Captain Falcon's moves. D:

Characters I would like to see?
Tails. ;3 I wanna fly around, and of course it would be limited like Kirby and Jiggly Puff.
An actual Daisy because I don't like just changing Peach's colors. She's a desert Princess, and I'm sure they could make moves that don't mimic Peach's at all.
Ashei from TP. I would LOVE to be her. ;3 She just screams badass. ;3

The clone thing should have updated with Brawl. It's sad that we're still asking for no clones for Smash 4. I swear they even said they would make less clones in Brawl, then they come out with 3 Star Fox characters practically the same.

I'd like a few more 3rd party characters over these Nintendo clones. And then obviously a very heavily focused online element, plus an even better stage builder. The one in Brawl was good but still very limited. Just allow the player the freedom to do what they want, like LBP. Tons more DLC as well. New stages every day to download from the community.

I think suggesting 3rd party characters need to keep in mind the 'closeness' of said company with Nintendo, or how muchh a certain franchise stands out on Nintendo consoles in comparison to others. While it wasn't relevant last time (because Snake was just out of nowhere and Sonic was the most requested) I believe it will be this time.

For example there are 4 KH games on Nintendo consoles and TWEWY is a Nintendo-only franchise which is why I suggested Sora and Neku as opposed to an FF character or something.
That said I think Travis has a decent chance due to wat Grasshopper have said about Brawl in the past, and MegaMan would have a good chance if Capcom weren't being so weird with him (Chris Redfield will be in it instead lol because they keep putting him in everything even though noone likes him)

Oh also Layton wouldn't he be great uehihihi.

As for clones even in modern fighting games there are still characters with clone movesets so I'm not really expecting that to change even if we want it to.

As for the name Universe I doubt it's legit. It's pretty easy to 'leak' something like that. One fan with time on their hands posts it on 4chan or 2ch and suddenly it spreads out everywhere.

Id like to see Soren from Fire emblem someone in a mage category. I really think Saki from s&p should be playable
