Nice to see another fan of the Super R-Type soundtrack. Smilie

Had to post this;

The whole game has epic music like this.

Pilotwings

Soyo Oka - Hang Glider
Soyo Oka - Sky Diving
Soyo Oka - Enter Password

Super Mario Kart

Soyo Oka - Koopa Troopa Theme
Soyo Oka - Donut Plains
Soyo Oka - Battle Mode
Soyo Oka - Rainbow Road

I'm in a nostalgic Pokémon mood as of late, so I'm listening to some of my favourite Pokémon soundtracks plus some nice remixes.

Pokémon Colosseum - Final Battle
Pokémon Colosseum - Cipher Peon Battle
Pokémon Colosseum - VS Battle 3 (R/S/E Champion Theme)
Pokémon Colosseum - VS Battle 2 (R/S/E Gym Leader Theme)
Pokémon Colosseum - Mirror B. Battle Theme

Pokémon XD - Cipher Peon Battle
Pokémon XD - Cipher Admin Battle
Pokémon XD - Final Battle
Pokémon XD - Mirror B. Battle Theme

Pokémon Black/White - Gym Leader Theme
Pokémon Black/White - Team Plasma Battle
Pokémon Black/White - Legendary
Pokémon Black/White - Event Battle
Pokémon Black/White - Subway Trainer Battle
Pokémon Black/White - Cynthia
Pokémon Black/White - Elite Four Battle

Some Remixes:

Pokémon R/S/E - Rival Battle

Pokémon R/S/E - Gym Leader Theme
Pokémon R/S/E - Gym Leader Theme Symphonic Score
The Gym Leader Theme from R/S/E is by far my favourite Pokémon soundtrack. Whenever I hear it, hum it or play it in my head, I get all nostalgic.

Pokémon D/P/P - Cynthia
Pokémon Gold/Silver - Final Battle Vs Red

The soundtrack for VVVVVV was excellent.

However one of my favourite video game tracks of all time is this bad boy.

Super Castlevania IV Belmont's Theme

Hopefully some people recall....

It's one of my favourite videogame tracks.

I've been liking the soundtrack to Mighty Switch Force. It's a little downloadable 3DS game (no 3DS, so haven't played). You can find the whole soundtrack on Bandcamp and it's good. It's kind of got that old school chip tune vibe. It's busy, but sometimes surprisingly tasteful.

And, of course, the Bastion soundtrack is great. It was getting a lot of attention recently and rightly so.

Ridge Racer (Namco, 1994)

Ridge Racer
Rare Hero
Feeling Over

The rest of the music in this game is utter crap IMHO.

I recently played through Journey and the music was really great in it (as was the rest of it).

The soundtrack is on iTunes for $5.00. There's talk of a CD happening, though, and I'd rather have that if given the option. So I'm going to wait a bit to see if the CD happens before buying it from iTunes. I'm old-fashioned.

Does anyone remember Shadowrun on the Superb Nintendo?

Isometric RPG/Shooter in a fantastic setting, futuristic doom and gloom cyberhuman everyone out for your blood shitcity. Sort of like Batman I guess, city of justiice, city of luv etc etc

Well I think this is the only piece that makes sense outside of the game, or the best piece in my amazing opinion:

Beyond Good & Evil (Ubisoft, 2003)

Secret of Mana - A Bell is Tolling Easily one of the greatest soundtracks of all time and the best of any SNES game. This one track happens to be a favorite though just about any of the music in this game is worth your time. If you haven't played this one - drop what you're doing Smilie

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - Victory is Near A fantastic track from a fantastic series.

Love that track and it's a shame that you only hear it a few times during the game. However, my favourite 'near victory' song from Fire Emblem is Winning Road from Fire Emblem for the GBA. Gives you a real boost in fighting spirit and you're like "Oh yeah, all your fucking minions are gone, you coward of a boss. Now I'm coming for you and nobody's there to help you!!" Smilie

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance has without a doubt the most epic class change theme ever in a Fire Emblem game though. Smilie Such an rewarding feeling with this song when your unit finally promotes and turns into a badass killing machine. Hearing that 'ding' sound for every stat increase is music to my ears as well. Smilie

Hmm, maybe I should go back to playing Civ 4 since 5 was a pretty big disappointment.

Well I've always enjoyed RPG music, but specificaly Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VIII & The Legend of Dragoon have always been magic to my ears & no that's not a typo their soundtrack is really that awesome!!

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

Jimmy is Freddie Wong's brother. I'm not sure if Marbleot is gonna be a real RPG or if this is just a soundtrack to a made up game, but it sounds really awesome!

The Fez soundtrack is utterly beautiful. I bought it a couple of weeks back.

The whole album is really different. I could see why people wouldn't like it, but I really dig it.

Been listening to this a lot on my music player recently.

I'm planning to start playing Beyond Good and Evil tomorrow. I picked the game up from GOG and it comes with the soundtrack. I pulled that song up on my computer and it's pretty awesome. Funky Bar 100 (which is playing now) also happens to be really good Smilie
I'm excited to play this.

Oh my goodness...

Make sure you have a nappy near by, you might poop your pants with amazement at certain parts and you most likely will by the end.
