I believe that markdown acts as a translator for HTML tags, and not as a replacement. So we could use both markdown and HTML tags for maximum efficiency!

reply alerting is something I've been pondering for a while - might work like this: Person 1,2,3 click a button to subscribe to a topic.

Reddit has a pretty good reply notification system. Direct replies to comments are sent to the commenter's inbox, no subscription is necessary.

The difference is that reddit's threads are nested and two dimensional, so it is clear when a reply is to a specific comment, and not to the general thread. Perhaps C3 could distinguish between comment replies and thread replies via the quote button? Quoting a user could automatically alert the user that their comment was quoted. This does severe a slightly different purpose than thread subscription... Would it be too confusing to consider having both?

Oh, going back to the games filtering, perhaps it could be possible to filter Virtual Console games by console too - Mega Drive, Commodore 64, Turbografx-16, etc.

Not 100% sure how you want them added to the system atm, because there's no Virtual Console option in the DB. Think it was Adam who suggested perhaps we add it under Wii, then have a tickbox to say if it's a VC game or not. Then those games can go under the VC filter and have automatically added text in the title (like "Virtual Console" at the end of the name)?

I think I noticed as well that the Wifi tickbox doesn't show anything in a game's profile page, like some of the other stuff in there like release dates, country of origin. So those would need removing or fixed for new C3.

Az - Definitely possible to add VC games as filters - something we need to discuss (will email ) - also enabling Wi-Fi for a game from an admin view adds it to the Wi-Fi area, but I certainly agree - needs info on the game page itself, missing a trick there!

Keith - possibly, but trickier to implement as I didn't set out Cubed3 in a threaded format to begin with so it may take a fair bit of work to have that as an option I'm afraid!

How about adding a little thing like the Collection and Wishlists, but for games you're Now Playing? Just a button to click to add to your Now Playing List or something?

Tis a good idea Will ponder it - it might have to be a box in the profile to type in the games (for multiformat/non-Nintendo) or just limited to Nintendo.

Is there anyway to make the updates refresh on their own rather than refreshing the entire page again? Sorta like the facebook ticker?

Which updates would these be - as in the homepage?

I'm not so sure about the homepage, but more so the stuff on the left (news updates, reviews and features, forums and blogs, and site feed).

Ah - I gotcha - you can refresh blocks by clicking on the refresh button for the left menus (instead of reloading the page), however I do like the idea of a site ticker/feed - can run off our current site feed possibly.

Maybe when C3 gets bigger for sure!

I agree! Unfortunately the Grooveshark widget is a bit limited, but our playlists are available on their full player so would do the shuffle
