E3 is less than a month away now and I'm getting more and more hyped with each passing week. I've even decided to take a holiday off work during E3 week so that I can lock myself away and watch the conferences and stay up to date on everything. Thanks to the Wii 2, this is going to be one of the best E3s in a long time.

So what are you all looking forward to seeing more of at E3? What predictions do you have for things that haven't been announced yet? And what are your personal hopes of this year's event?

Obviously the big one is the Wii 2/Project Cafe, so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing that. I'm just hoping that Nintendo really get their priorities right with the whole online thing this time and give us something at least on par with the 360.

I'm hoping for reveals of Star Fox, F-Zero and Pikmin 3. I think Pikmin 3 will definitely be mentioned as being for Wii 2 and maybe playable, whilst it's possible the other two will be announced for it too. All three of these games can benefit greatly from online gaming.

A bit less likely, I would really like to see a new first person Metroid. I know Retro are supposedly working on something entirely different now, but I'm a big fan of FPS Metroid and would love a new one featuring Crocomire and Kraid, outside of the Phazon storyline. A new 2D Metroid is also badly needed. Time for Metroid Dread?

Away from Nintendo, I'm really looking forward to seeing Final Fantasy XIII-2. Can't wait to see the evolution of the battle system. Probably able to control more than one character in battle this time, with more use for summons (if they exist).

Also cannot wait to see more on Uncharted 3 and Tomb Raider.

Other things I would like to see announced (but some very unlikely):
- Shenmue 3
- TimeSplitters 4
- Cel-shaded Zelda for Wii 2
- Leon for RE Mercenaries 3D
- Zero Samus for DOA, as DLC if need be
- FFX and XII HD remasters
- Dissidia 3 PS3
- Cloud in Soul Calibur 5
- FF7 Remake (lulz)

These games are a must. Also, it would be really nice if Nintendo makes a new IP. They've made at least one new one per console (though the Wii didn't really have any new hardcore ip's, the "wii" series doesn't count lol). Also, don't forget about the 3ds. I'm sure Nintendo will reveal gameplay from their next Mario game for it.

You said that some might be very unlikely but this here is practically impossible to happen. Smilie They would just obliterate their whole Skyward Sword presentation by doing that. I generally don't think that we'll ever hear anything about a new Zelda game shortly after(let alone before) the previous one has been released if they are both going to be on a home console/handheld.

I'll maybe write down what I want to see later when I have more time. Smilie

- Zero Samus for DOA, as DLC if need be

I'm not sure even Nintendo have that much contempt for Metroid...

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

@SirLink: All I said was things I would like to see announced Smilie Doesn't have to be much shown at all, just a slight 5 second teaser with Toon Link, perhaps. Nintendo are showing off a brand new console remember, and I certainly wouldn't put it past them to announce a new Zelda for it, Skyward Sword blowout presentation or not.

@Raff: I dunno, you could argue the further down the years they've gone, the more they've abused Samus' character. Depends on your opinion. It doesn't have to be Zero Samus in DOA, but with the whole Metroid stage going on, it seems kinda silly to not even have Samus playable.

First the things I want to see that are very likely-

More of the new Mario game for 3DS!

More of Resident Evil Revelations. Hopefully in playable form.

More of Metal Gear Solid for 3DS.

Of cause I'm hyped about seeing the new console and maybe even seeing some of the games in developement for it too. I'm sure Nintendo will have worked hard to get 3rd parties developing for it, like they have for the 3DS. So I expect a few big names in the line up for it.

Things I'd like to see that are less likely-

A new Mario game in developement for project cafe.

A new "proper" Final Fantasy for project cafe.

I really hope Square Enix reveal they are going to remake FFV, FFVI & FFVII for 3DS.

I really want to see a follow up to Metroid Other M for the Wii & a Prime type Metroid on 3DS.

I could go on and on about things I want, but I'll just leave it at that.

I'm not happy, 'cause I'll be away on holiday while E3 is on.

For sure, there needs to be a proper FF on a Nintendo home console again. Maybe even FFXIII-2 or Versus XIII-2 would get ported to Project Cafe? Big ask, but who knows?

I'm expecting FF5 and 6 to be remade for 3DS at some point, although I think FF7 is more likely to be remade for NGP, going in line with which consoles the games were originally released on. I personally would prefer a PS3 remake, but I think NGP is a possibility. That said, some sort of FF7 release on 3DS would be great, if only to have the game on the system in some form.

I'd also like an announcement of Dissidia 3 for PS3, although I doubt that.

One other hope I have, which I think is a big possibility, is HD remasters of FFX and XII for PS3. I doubt they'd bother with X-2 and XI, instead focusing on the two most popular PS2 FF games. Maybe have them available for NGP, and at a push, Project Cafe.

I'm a bit optimistic, but that would certainly make my E3.

FF wise, I'd like to see a XIII + XIII-2 compilation, XIII could be a straight port of the PS3 version if the Discs are roughly the size of Blu-rays (and if Nintendo support beyond Dolby Digital II!).

Quite a bit above me has already been mentioned. I'll add:

-F-Zero N6 or 3DS.
-Grand Theft Auto V(PC,360,PS3,N6)
-Battlefield 3 N6(if not I'll get it on PC anyway)
-Nintendo Streaming an Automatic update to everyone on there 3DS with the Live conference showing on it.
-The N6 controller to actually be comfortable, unlike most of the mock-ups.
-Nintendo Connect(online mode) will be on N6 from day one and will have a personal profile that can be transferred.
-MGS 1-3 collection for the 3DS (rather than just Snake Eater).

What Might happen (not necessarily what I want).

Microsoft Completely ruining there press conference by saying they have a new console completely designed around Kinect 2.0.

Sony to announce that they've fixed PSN (finally).

Apple Not to announce anything except maybe the iPhone 5 (if they're at the conference).

Mmm, I'm liking the XIII & XIII-2 compilation idea. Certainly no reason why that couldn't happen. I'm all for certain PS3/360 games being ported to the Cafe, but I can see the pricing being abused. But for sure, if done right, we could have a good collection of games for the console. I'm expecting quite a long list of games for it.

Shenmue III.

The sequel to Golden Sun Dark Dawn would be aces, also more on Dream Drop Distance and Mirrors Edge 2. I'm not really gonna think about what I want to see too much; the surprises will be all the better that way. Smilie

I can't help but feel that if Crytek (UK) announce TS4 that it would literally blow out any other news. TimeSplitters has been an incredible series with a large fan base who have been begging to see another instalment for years. And if they do it well I can imagine it being a smash hit with people unfamiliar to the series as well.

Also can't wait for more on TESV: Skyrim Smilie

I would love to see Project Cafe remakes of Final Fantasy VII-IX. The only reason those weren't made for a Nintendo console is because the consoles and cartridges lacked the storage capabilities, but now I think it's about time Nintendo fanpeoples finally got to experience those games for themselves.

More on Star Wars The Old Republic. (Likely)

Beyond Good & Evil 2. (Unlikely)

Project Café.
