I'm wondering if this is some hint on what the next motion cencing system Nintendo will be making will utilize.

I think this sounds incredibly awesome and could be used in some pretty cool ways.

Would certainly be cool if you play a game at night and all those lights and effects pop up depending on what happens in the game.

PlayStation Move does this kind of thing.
I like this concept. I think it would be quite cool to have ambient colours aid the experience of certain games like Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda, be it providing lighting to music, or using it as a way to pass on notifications.

I though (Phlips?) already did this awhile back just no one supported it.
They even preposed fans and heaters being able to sycned to games too.
I thought this was gonna be about a redesigned, smaller Wii. Lulz.
I think its a great idea, would be really cool playing a game in the dark with this plugged in! it would really add to the atmosphere of the game i think!
I doubt this will ever see the light of day.
funky idea, but not worth it if they only release 4 games that use it.
This is the revolution for the next home console!
Seems pretty cool. I think it would be used to good affect in dramatic/emotional cut scenes too.

I think this could be a part of it, enhanced sensor bar. Also, Vitality Sensor incorporated into a new controller...though maybe they'll still do Wii Relax as well. E3 will make things clearer.

Would work well for a groud up console, as then it could get more support. Also the consoles OS could even "guess" lighting for older games based on the screen edges.
The only problem is I suspect they might get sued as some TVs do this already;

They can't be sued since they own the patent for this particular application.
